Have any of you ever heard of transhumanism or extropy? Well if you all like stuff with AI I suggest you check it out. It's a philosophy that involves advanceing the human race by the use of modern technology. Post back with your opinions and thoughts.

I have heard of this theory. The material that I have come in contact with suggests the use of nanobot techology to alter and 'perfect' the human race. I'm sure what I think about this proposition. I believe in advancement, but not at all costs. The threat posed by merging man and machine is very real and I'm not sure that improving humanity is worth the risk. Besides, human fallibility is oh so intriguing.

Stephen Hawking phylosophized a bit about this in his books too. In his future, DNA will become extinct..
