WachowskiBros: We're going to release another series of stories on the website, Geof Darrow is going to illustrate a couple more short stories written by Andy and I. And, we've toyed with the idea of continuing the story in comic book form when the movies are finished.
This was on a chat in the matrix official website.
This is a proof that there could be something after the matrix trilogy, something that would explain all our doubts.
if u think i made this up, please feel free to enter

and read it for yourself.
this was an interview a long time ago. All it says is whats happened or happening; the release of Reloaded and Revolutions, and the realeases of the comic books which is soon. It doesnt reference in there anything after that. only maybe another Animatrix, i just couldnt see them doing a whole other movie.
i'm not talking about a movie, just something, maybe a comic, an animatrix, a book, anything, just something that gives us the answers, maybe even a video game, u know, like, giving us the chance to finish the story the way we want it to end
I'm sure that for those who are confused and angry at the way it ended, the comics and animatrix 2 will start to make the big picture a little clearer.
I mean, i was totally confused and fed up after i'd seen the film, but i've only seen it once, and now that i've been looking at posts here the whole thing seems about three times clearer than it did before. I just hope that for the rest of you who feel the same way now that i did before, the answers start coming through.
Seriously, if you don't over analyze the whole thing and just try and work it out a bit at a time, instead of trying to suss the whole thing out at once, i'm sure you'll start to understand the vision they had with the films.
uhm, i don't know, it seems to me just the same to say "i want answers" that "u already have em".
i have seen the movie twice, and i still think that it is too vague, too open to interpretation, and i'm sorry but i write and that's not the way u end a story.
Hey guys,
Remember Star Wars? I know, some of you kids are too young to remember the phenomenon. Anyway, after the movies, we got the Marvel Comics and the novels and all that stuff where just about anybody could write anything they wanted about the "Star Wars Universe" and get it liscensed by Lucas, including run-on sentences. There's no question that it's happening to 'The Matrix'.
I don't remember as many people being disappointed about Return of the Jedi, as they seem to be with Revolutions. But I digress. As big a Star Wars fan as I was, I regret that they decided to make those damned prequels. Have no doubt that I'll be first in line for the next one, but I really wish they would've left it alone. I hope the Bros. learn from Lucas' mistakes.
On the other hand, though, The Matrix is such a great idea that you could feasibly make another movie, WITHOUT any of the original characters ('cept maybe Oracle, Architect, Seraph, the progs!) and pull it off. I know many of you will disagree with this (what's new) but the WORST thing the Bros. could do is make another flick with Keanu and the Gang. I mean, how many more times can these people die? It's starting to turn into a soap opera, or even worse, Dallas. Every time you kill off a character and bring him/her back, your story loses credibility. I think that's already happened in the Trilogy toward the end. Sorry people, you need to hear it.
If the Bros. did by chance make another Matrix film, I hope they would lose ALL the human characters (maybe include a scene with Morpheus or Niobe when they are like 95 yrs. old) and start fresh with some new humans. I'd like to see these characters discover more about: The origins of the Oracle, the Architect, Seraph, Merv, Persephone, etc. I'd also like to see these characters unlock the secrets of the backdoors, Mobil Ave., the source, etc. Obviously, I'd like to see plenty more ass-kicking going on too. But I hope they don't wait around another 20 yrs. to make another one, if they're going to. I really like the actors/actresses who play the programs. It's difficult to see someone new try and fill the role, ergo/argo? the Oracle. But that's what I'd like to see. And I don't think a prequel would work with the Matrix. It's just not logical to expose all the answers earlier in the timeline then ask the questions again later. Kind of like the new Star Wars flicks. How can everything look so much cooler and slicker way back then, and the "last" 3 episodes look dull? And the technology is so much more advanced in the "1st 2" Star Wars episodes. It doesn't make sense. Enough of my ramblings.
i think what these guys are doing is with the matrix ending in revolutions they said hey we will finish it off like this, see what people say get there ideas, see what they think, we put bit of our own ideas inthere and make another one, perhaps more then 1 more, The story about matrix is just too short too put in 3 movies at approx 2.5 hrs each, they want to make there money they wana keep fans happy, they will be looking for fresh ideas on the forums, there is plenty of smart people out there who do not work in the movie world who have wonderful ideas, which they will be looking for on the forums like this one.
View Full Version : life after the trilogy, plezeeee read!!!
