i believe that every one has to make choices and i do believe that is one of many flaws in the human gene but i beileve that an army of crazed calculaters could never take my world from me. so your thinking ok the goverment has the ability to make thinking robots. we have the ability to overthrough the goverment as a demicratic republic right? wrong i believe if and when this happens it will be at a time of war. it will be the beging of a cold night and they will see through their fiberoptics that man cant make peice. the effect will be an onslaught of unknown perportions. i believe i love my computer and i believe in time it will love me too! piece

I believe that the human race is so absorbed in the fact that we are supreme, that we could create AI powerful enough to over take us. I believe that we are that arogant. At least, we are in the U.S. I dont know about the rest of the world. But I could see in the future, America creating advanced AI and the rest of the world having to save our butts.
Well you could be right or not. It has been a question for the scientist in the United States for many years ever since we have advanced in computers as well as A.F.I. Also scientist do understand the effects that this A.F.I. can have on us humans in the future. One way is by making the intelligence of A.F.I. more smarter or think exactly like us humans. But mostly likely this will not happen. Because I believe that they wouldn't want to make anything as powerful or as smart as a real or regular human.
It all depends on what choices we make as a society. If we dig ourself such a hole where its a man vs. machine war I think humans can win but i really don't want to see the world end up like the Terminator movies. We just have to be careful with what we play around with

It is inevitable, man will fall victim to vanity and corruption and as such become the "Architect of his own demise...".
Mans ego will always cause us to do anything because we believe we can over come it. But what we have to think about here is Artificial "Intelligence".
Humans (well most of us any way) are "Intelligent" and what have we done with our planet, we have taken it over, destroyed entire species, we have begun to destroy it. Thats what intelligence does. Imagine if a machine became truely intelligent, they have an almost endless energy source and access to a huge bank of knowledge, while also having far superior strength and durability then humans.
They will win, it is simply a matter of time...
It has less to do with ego and more to do with ability. For some god damn reason everyone seems to think that true AI is sitting right around the corner just waiting for somebody to find it. Well fuck no its not. Its possible that true AI will never be reached.
although there are some truly intelligent people out there, i dont honestly think that we would reach the compacity of true AI if at all. Too many wars have been rought in the past due to one nation thinking thier technology is better, whose to say we wouldnt wipe out each other before we reached that kind of technology.
