Zion battle

ok this might sound stupid but why do they use the guns and robots to fight the sentinals and the diggers? its like when the ship flys in they got a emp and they destroy most of the sentinels, wouldnt they have a lot more emps in the city, since it seem to be the best weapon agenst the machines?

as you saw the emp aslo disables all their defense
so you disable everything for that range, but then the machines can send another army in no time, but the zion defense doesnt get up that quiclky up again.

yes i know that, but there was no defence left? except the few people at the last stand :)

im talkin like build few emps, of course they make the movie too shield its self in every critic it gets :)

There wasn't, they had to blow all them generator things to make the backup power boot up.

But as you saw the Sentinels started sacrificing themselves to power up the diggers again.

EMP was only a temporary solution.

ahh yes, i dont know what too say i think they could of made it a bit more even, u dont seen only till after what kinda power they got in the machine city, untill neo reaches there, if they showed that before the attack, it would of been better too, we would have better idea why the hell there is so many sentinels attackin, and only 3 diggers? all i can say i hope they will have some sort of counter attack in next matrix if they make it :)

When human race ruled the world, the machines got the power to destroy our society and slave us. The story and purpose of Neo and Zion was to keep humans attached to the Matrix, as a control device. Machines have destroyed Zion several times before this human generation. They always know where Zion was and how to reach there...remember?

The EMP as a weapon disable every apparathus that uses electrical energy. The ships can use it because they are alone in the sewers against no body knows how many sentinels or other machines. But inside the city walls of Zion, it is a double edge sword.

Humans are using very old technology against a race that it always improving their tech, and making better weapons.

Humans were able to resist only because they want to live. Perseverance and courage was our best weapon.

Apply that to our own adversity in our lives and we will stand in victory, or at least give a good fight!

Yeah what i find in accurate about the Zion Machine scene is how there is like 20 thousand sentinels that just fly around. The aren't killing anything they just fly around doing nothing. I know if i was trying to kill something and had that many machine things helping me i would take advantage of my superior #'s and overwhelm them, not fly around aimlessly like a total complete idiot.

One more thing, what you people fail to realize is that an EMP only destroys electrical things that are on. If you shoot of an EMP in the city and the whole city is shut down, it wouldn't do anything. So it might work if they built multiple EMP's in the Dock of the city. They could have one charged up and have all the rest of the electrical devices in the EMP's range shut down. They could use the EMP, then boot up another one before more sentinels got there.

I agree with ur dumb on both accounts. It does seem to me like half of the machines fly around just to fly around and when they do swarm it doesn't look like they are really going for anything and it makes sense what he says about the EMP thing as well as long as they can get another one booted up in time.

i jsut try to imagine that u need some type of electricity to charge an emp, and if ur gonna let off an emp u cant be charging any others at the same time, so there is a time limit in between those 2 charges, if this is the case and if ur the general or some high ranking person would u take that action as ur first choice or see how u can hold up against them instead, also we are never told how many emps they have, we know that ships have them but almost every ship was destroyed at the end of reloaded
so they may not have alot of them, i hate to say it but it is jsut a movie(although i love it to death), i mean think about our american tactics, if we knew where all of our enemies were, would we send troops in there or would we just throw a bomb in, but after all since zion is way underground maybe it would screw up the earth too much, it seems preeety obvious though from the animatrix that they could have jsut wooped thier ass real easily but i lvoed the whole zion fight scene regardless oh well
