Matrix Online...RPG or FPS?

neuromancer314

apparently ive heard that the matrix online is going to be an RPG. how do you make an action game an RPG? how can there be bullet time in an RPG? this kinda scares me cause the game would be much better as a FPS or TPS dont you think?
Mundungus

It's an MMORG...it might have some rpge elements..but it'll still be an action game.

MMORPG is the defined elements of a FPS and an RPG, with the varying TPS in their. Look at Planetside. Look at Everquest.

Its an MMORPG. It is a persistant world where you you "Level up" your character. Its 3rd person 3d though. and you will move around with the keyboard, not like a point and click RPG.

Theres a monthly fee too just incase you didnt know :)

This is what I know so far:

There is character creation: I don't know what skills or feats u can choose, or how many, but I know as far as appearnace, players choose shirt, pants, gloves, boots, and hair..along with sunglasses and extras like that (its not the matrix without shades)

The game starts right after u take the red pill, and are waking up into the real world.

Players can play for either the macines or the Zionists. Playing for the machines duzn't make u a machine...ur still human, think cypher.

Players can trade skills like baseball cards
"I know kung fu"
"I learned the jump program"
"Trade ya.."
"Sure thing buddy"
"Thanks alot unclefuker"
"Cheers fukface!"

It will be seamless. The only load screen u see is when u first start the game.

The makers at UbiSoft have aquirred blueprints of the Matrix from the W bros to make it as the bros invisioned it. Expect to see landmarks and places from the films.

There will be a monthly fee, as there is with most MMORPG's.

Hope this helps u guys out. :)
