fasten ur seatbelts, the no smoking sign has turned on ect.
how does he know that if he was born in zion-out side the matrix?

If you're referring to the "no smoking" line from airplanes, it's probably because they probably still have old VCRs keeping them company, growing up without cable-ready plugs in their heads, while their parents are off fighting the war.

More likely, it's just an old cultural reference which is carried on through generations, or from inside the Matrix.

In other words, it's a common expression, even if Tank has never seen an "airplane".
