Wow, I cant wait, it sounds brilliant.2004, long time to wait.I hope the game explains the parts they left open in M3

From what i've read...(and its VERY VERY little coming from the website) is that it looks pretty cool. Cool ideas that are goin with it. However, as with all MMORPGs at release..they tend to suck for a couple months while they work our content/bugs/balancing and all that jazz.

BUT i for one will be gettin it...haven't decided my name yet tho...will keep you posted...

The part it says you can explore miles of the city sounds cool.I love games were you can walk and drive about like GTA and Postal.Anytrhing goes, you dont just follow the story line.Do you think you will be able to make your own character. ie own looks, cloths etc.

I'd say the best thing this game has going for it is everyone wants to know what the hell is going on after the end of M3. No doubt this game will be tremendous. Too bad so little is know about it so far. Except that:

1. It comes out [anytime] in 2004
2. It doesn't require broadband
3. It takes place after M3


Can't wait till we know more.

i would think so, wouldn't want 2000 players all looking the same, would be kinda hard to pk :)

I HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt it...

most likely they will be NPC's and you'll have to fight (and run) with them. I'm assuming there will be the oracle, seraph and the architect and that jazz....

and if they really really go all out...one player may even be the next one....

who knows theres really endless possibilities they could take this game...

i WILL be on this game tho...we should start makin a guild now...for it...depending on which server everyone decides to go on...when more info is given i'll probably let everyone know where i'll be goin...

Did you say TMO didint need broadband? I hope so cause my dad says broadband is a waste of money and i highly disagree. DARN 56K DIAL UP CURSE YOU!!!! lol

yea most likely...all mmo's out now dont REQUIRE broadband..tho its a whole lot better when you got it...

It wont really be fun if you have dial up knowing the fact that you will recieve an immense amount of LAG.

no...nowadays mmo's don't send as much data as you think...a lot of it is handled by the client sw. It really depends on how well the client is written look at SWG..you can be on a T-1 and have warping...(which sucks)

so i really dont think it'll matter too much..

I hate online rpgs becaus i have to pay everymonth to play them. Ill wait until it is released... if it is interesting then i'll buy a copy and pay monthly... but right now i don't think i'll buy it.

If there is a monthly fee forget it, but if its free (which it probably wont be) ill get my hands on a copy ASAP if my friggin slowa$$ PC can even handle it.

I'm amazed that there's so little information on this game, especially since it's going to be out within a year (or six months). I'm in the camp that figures it'll be released on the same day as Revolutions comes out on DVD, since the Matrix franchise has a history of doing stuff like that.

I've never been able to get into these huge multi-player games, but I'm already into this one.

I think starting our own group is a great idea. The only problem is... which side are YOU going to be on?

I would really like to play it since it will have a storie to it, and we will know more about what will happen after revolutions...like how long the peace will last....and other things

Thats how the wachowskis make more money... They make even more unanswered questions in revolutions, and thats what attracts more people to buying matrix online just so all those questions could be answered and they make people pay a fee every month, so this probably something to help the brothers make even more money than they already have.

It will most likely be 13 bucks a month, as every mmo game is. But if you buy like a 6 month pre paid, it will average like 10 bucks a month.

there better be a few months of free play :/

What i would do is buy the game, if it has a monthly subscription then the most i would do is install it, and wait till i get a job so i won't have to bother my cheapskate parents for money. I'm praying they would at least give the first few months for free.

you usually get one month free with mmo's. So install it and try it out see if you like it.

If we do make up a big forum clan when the game comes out, I suggest we split off into a certain amount of teams to go off and do seperate things to help find out whats going on.

Also I'm hoping for friendly fire..not that i want to shoot down allies, but because it could add a bit of drama..because what if you wanted to make your own tale (such as with Cypher) and just in case someone on your crew revolts against you, and then you can go chase him down.....atleast I think that'd be interesting.

I asked my dad and mom they said no, they said they will not pay the monthly fee. Also when I find out the system requirements my computer will probably not be able to play it. Unless a miracle happenes and I get a good computer and my parents say yes. My current computer is not one of those computers for playing games on. THIS STINKS...

Exellent job keep lookin Cyqu.

The only Online game I've every played was The Sims Online, which was $10/month, $120/year, and I think it was a ripoff, because all you do in the game is forever try to earn money. Why pay $10/month to work all the time and talk to people about nothing? It defeats the purpose. However, they did have many people who were playing for free in the first month or two to get all the bugs worked out. I will go for that if someone from The Matrix Online contacts me and asks me to play for free, sounds great! I also think it will be more interesting to play the Matrix Online because the people will have much more to talk about than just stupid life crap like in The Sims Online.

There's another thing I took into account. You know how every now and again there is a newbie on this forum (I know I was this way at one time) who asks a question we feel they should already know the answer to? Well, try that on a monumental scale in this game. People will forever be asking "What do I do? How do I do this? Can you help me?" every time someone new comes around. And, if it's GTA style, then new people will be kicking your ass just because they're trying out the 'wire fu', and you'll be like, "HEY! Stop that, that's not what we do! I'm not a bad guy!" Just some random thoughts about what could be...

Well since the game is a MMORPG or massively multiplayer online role playing game. The game probably consists on building up your characters status, and killing as many people as you can. And killing the agents will give you extra experience ponts or something. There will be buddy lists and chats and stuff, and you will be able to create your own character. I dont know if there is an objective that you are trying to reach. Maybe just leveling up your character and stuff like that.

i read what it said on gamespy, i'm thinking we are fighting for the matrix or against the matrix. we're trying to free people while the other group tries to keep everyone inside it. there are agents!!! yay!

hmmm here's a tough question, if we die in the matrix, do we die forever? or do we come back? it would kinda suck to have to start over again when you've got uber nice stats.

Nah my guess is you will lose an experience level or some experience points or something like that. But I doubt you would have to start all over. And there probably will be agents (according to the matrix online website) I guess if your fighting for the matrix or to protect the matrix from being destroyed, maybe you will have agents on your side. yay!
