Interesting observation....

As I sit watching Reloaded I have come to an interesting observation...where the Oracle is the one that actually brings peace between human and machines and not necessarily Neo. What would have happened if Smith had absorbed Neo before the brawl in Reloaded? Would the equation (negative smith and positive neo) have equaled out returning them to the source thereby resetting the matrix, and thus not allowing Neo to have the chance to bargain with machines for peace? It was the Oracle that kept information from Neo to keep him on the path that she had set for him...which she hints to in Revolutions when Neo asks why she didn't tell him everything before...and she says becuase of her decision not to, becuase if she did....then Revolutions would not have happened and the matrix would have just been reset and there would still be war between the machines and humans. Any suggestions on this theory?

Another thing came to mind and how the Oracle plays a bigger part in the series since the first Matrix. How do we know that the one's choice always involved a lover? Maybe it took the Oracle five versions of the Matrix to figure out that love was the one thing that would take the One as far as it took Neo which was the ultimate goal. Hence why it was brought to our attention that the Oracle told Trinity that she would fall in love with the One....

i do think it was the oracle that kept the information from neo, but only because she has to.................when he asks her in revolutions why she didnt tell him, she points to the sign and Neo realizes it was becasue he wasn;t ready to know, he realized it was his own fault.....
