Bullet Time

If anyone can explain to me WHAT BULLET TIME REALLY IS, please tell me. GOOD god.

Could you please explain why you posted a poll, but want to have a completely unrelated question answered instead? You've kind of lost me there.

i bullet time is whin everythin slowes down so a person can pull off insanly cool stuff.

and hod to acheve bullet time (my theory) is you have to be extreamly fast, extreamly agile, and have the concintration of 100 budist monks.

Bullet time is just an effect, it's not like it makes anyone move faster, and whatever stunts they do in the movie, can be done in reality, except for the aerial fight in revolutions of course. Bullet time just clarifies the combat scenes, adding some atmosphere. Anyway, what is with the poll?

It really took me a while to understand the difference between regular slow-motion and bullet-time. In bullet-time, the action that is taking place can be slowed to a crawl while the camera perspective can circle around the action as fast or slow as desired. This is achieved by lining up a series of stationary cameras around the subject and by each camera taking a still shot of the subject. These shots are then manipulated somehow along with CG images to render the cool effects seen in the movies. One of my favorite bullet-time shots is the one featuring Trinity in the first Matrix when she does her "floating" kick.

i know it's just an effect but i was dicussing how to make a metal gear deus ex kind of crossover game with a friend of mine and whin we started talking about augmentations we eventually stumbled across the"formula" for bullet time.
