I guess someone have already asked this question but hey: I'm new in here. Sooo...what do you think? Who is the best actor/actress in Matrix trilogy?
I think the Hugo is best. He kicks ass ^_^
i think the best is keanu reeves ofcourse ......
i cant imagine that Keanu is nothing but another human , he make me belive that there is something special about him , and i cant imagine him in any other character but the One .....

Keanu is the best choise to Neo's role. I agree in that
hugo weaving was the best choice for smith :) he is smith :D

Of cource he is :)
Althought I saw The Lord of the Rings before than Matrix, Hugo isn't Elrond to me. He IS Smith! I couldn't imagine nobody else in Smith's role. Oh I'm so happy they found Hugo :D
i was expecting Elrond to say something like... <smith talk>Mr. Baggins... we've missed you...</smith talk> heh
yeah his role in LOTR caught me off guard.

Every time I watch LOTR I just expect when he is going to make that evil little grin :)
hugo weaving is the king! bad guy's always the best!
I likey Neil and Adrian Rayment (The Twins) They were awesome in reloaded, but I have yet to see them in revolutions...
»Cant disagree with that«
I didn't like Keanu's performance at all in the movie, and especially after he received Neo's call at metacortechs I though he was a VERY bad actor.
Morpheus and Smith get my award for best acting!
»Yea.. Keanu could have done a better job in acting. Sometimes it doesnt even seem like hes trying, but then again, I still love the movie«
I didn't say I didn't love the movie! in fact I do. But I just think that he (keanu) could have done a better job and made the movie a lot better (he is the main character...)
Laurence Fishburne!
He has Morpheus written all over him...

They got killed by Morpheus in Reloaded. They won't be back.
best performance was turned in by Hugo.
that's a tough one, the casting is so good!
Hugo is sooo excellent as Smith.
Fishburne is penetrating as Morpheus.
Moss is spectacular as Trinity.
and last, but NOT least, Keanu is The Man, The One.
the other characters are also really well done, esp. for Cypher, Tank and Mouse.
this is definitely a flick in which the actor's looks and presence is just as important as their acting skills.

I know, I know... but a fan can always hope, no? lol - and I didnt see them in revolutions.. I feel depressed u.u oh well, I still think they were the best. I didnt think Keanu was that bad.. he does some pretty awesome kung fu! And I think he plays his character well.. I just cant really explain it.. I just think think he did. Laurence Fishburne was very good too!
i think the best whas carrie anne-moss as trinity. she's a kick ass girl.
I liked Jon Pantoliano as Cypher. It was funny how he was this one human surrounded by a bunch of angsty computernerd zombies. He was one of the main comonents for making the movie what it was. It was someone like him that was missing in M2 and M3. Him and Tank...
I answered this question in another post, but don't mind adding another vote for Hugo Weaving. Is it me or is Reeves sounding just as airheaded in the Matrix trilogy as he did in Bill and Ted's?
Still, you can't take away the fact that he (Reeves), Fishburne, Moss and even Weaving had to study and train hard for their roles, but on sheer delivery and chartacter believability, Weaving takes the cake.
»Ya ye cant disagree that Weaving had a great performance and I believe he was perfect for his role dontcha think? And isnt that the guy who was Elrond in Lord of the Rings? Hasnt he been a little busy these past years with both trilogies? I mean.. wow. Unless Im mixing up peoples.. but Im pretty sure thats him«

Yeah. That's him. He is one lucky guy. :) But his role in LOTR wasn't very big. These two trilogies are by the way my favorite movies.

»Ya thats what I thought. I think hes a better actor representing Smith than Elrond and omg LOTR and the Matrix triligies are my faves as well!! I have all the DVDs available so far for both and wont miss a beat in getting the next two when they come out. Well actually.. LOTR - Return of the King hasnt come out yet. I cant wait! Ive seen some random commercials about it and it looks wicked brilliant man! Ok.. I should probably change the subject since this is a Matrix site.. hence the word 'Matrix.' Yea«

That's just like me :D. UNFORTUNATELY I don't have a DVD player. Argh...oh how I wish I could see all the DVD extras about LOTR (and Matrix of cource) but I have to be satisfied on VHS's. I have seen trailer about Return of the King and it looks...just wonderful. Oops...I just jumped to wrong subject but these two trilogies are SO good. Matrix (ecpecially first Matrix) is my favorite but LOTR comes right behind it. Maybe I have to make profile into some LOTR-site too. :p
i think keanu reeves rules the matrix
im not the type to critisize acting skills so i think i will just say that my favorite CHARACHTER was smith because i think people ignore that he made a lot of good points in the films and i dont think anyone would disagree that he had some of the best lines. this will sound strange but at the end of revolutions i was kinda hoping he would win just for a major surprise ending
i hate the lotr simply because i hated seeing hugo not fighting i love it when Hugo kicked Neo's arse in the first m1 and was showin off about it. but near the end when Neo rises from the dead its awsume then because Neo kicks Smiths ass in stead then. but i think Hugo still rules he's an ultimate baddy. 10/10 for Hugo.o yeh and i hope you understood all that.
Although many of you are focusing on Hugo Weaving, and Keanu Reeves, and the Rayment twins and Laurence Fishbourne, I will have to choose two of my favorite characters/actors of the movies, besides Neo(Reeves) and Smith(Weaving). Ghost (Anthony Wong), and Seraph (Collin Chou), mainly because I liked the characters they played, we dont know much about them, except that they can fight, really well. I also like them because, Oriental guys are cool. "But first, I must apologize." If that i snot cool, I dont know what is. Except for Antarctica. j/k

Yeah. I liked Seraph too, about character I mean. I can say nothing about Collin Chou's (or Anthony Wong's) acting skills after one movie.
And Ghost. I think he is a really interesting. I don't have Enter the Matrix-game, so I know almost nothing about him. Shame.
Well, I don't normally judge acting-skills either. However his acting was plain bad. He was not convincing at all, and at a certain point I should FF trough these scenes to where he started to act again. Seraph is a very cool character, I must apologize.

Mine too. I don't really think anyone can disagree, unless they want to add Neo or Trinity. But personally, I think that no other could have brought out the characters more than those two.

Hugo Weaving (Smith) is the best actor throughout the movies. He stays in role perfectly. I like Keanu but Neo changed too much throughout the movies but Keanu stayed with the same old "Neo-will-kick-your-ass-and-there-is-nothing-you-can-do-to-stop-it" role, even though he's a pansy in the final fight.
For the game I liked Anthony Wong (Ghost), and Jada Pinkett-Smith (Niobe). Sparks was kinda funny but complained too much. And the other characters didn't have very big roles in the game.
In LotR I keep imagining that Elrond (Hugo) is gonna get up and
like go into his Agent Smith role. I watched all the outtakes and hoped that happened.
Yeah, I guess I can see that...
No words... Give it up for Carrie-Ann-Moss !!!
I was liking a lil. bit Oracle !!! The first Oracle...

You're not gonna believe what Harry thought of MATRIX REVOLUTIONS - Making Of, and some other quistions.
