Why does everyon think matrix within a matrix?

As if machines taking over the human race wasnt at all far fetched... It has been said they designed Neo to be a christ figure, if that were true, wouldnt it be possible that he was capable of miracles? It is indeed a sci-fi movie, so why isnt it possible that neo just had powers outside of the matrix cause he indeed is the human races savior. If it was a matrix within a matrix i believe it would kill the whole point behind the movies, as well as neo being a program. A christ figure cant be programmed :-\. Lol but it makes you think... if neo was a computer program, and they programmed humanity in him it would in fact be the machines creating their own demise much like the humans did when they perfected AI. The computers created AH - artificial humanatiy hahaha. lets hope this isnt the case.

what we're saying is that the artificial world created by the
machines is so complex, it's impossible to escape from it.

Everything that the Architect said makes me believe Zion is simply an error-handling procedure.

However, an architype of Father (Architect), Son (the One), Holy Spirit (Oracle) does exist in the story, which allows for an eternal Matrix. Perhaps an Anti-Neo (the Mr. Smith in human form) is needed to destroy the Matrix. Oh boy, won't Christians be upset if that's the case! I can only pray that they will recognize the trilogy for what it is - entertainment!

I dont get your reasonings.... as it is now we are all pulling ideas out of our heads without any basis. Personally i dont like the idea that neo is in fact a machine him self or a program.. and that they are all still in the matrix , but a matrix made for the uncontroled. I hope this isnt where the story is headed, what a let down. And if that was the case there is NO WAY they could explain it all tell the story and redeem the human race in 2 more hours. And based on the whole residual self image stuff, wouldnt he not have plugs? why would his risidual self image change? too many loop holes in the matrix within a matrix idea.

I personally think the matrix within a matrix theory would be a great idea for the next movie...and there are many things to support this theory and you are really the only person going around saying it is a let down everyone else seems to like it....so i'll just leave it at that....

No thought can be trusted. It's not a stretch that the unplugging procedure is yet a program for the human mind to comprehend their exile from the 1st layer of the Matrix. Thus, sockets in the skin in Zion is just another form of reality, in the Matrix.

Theres lots of things to support many theories... its whatever you take from it. As it is now they are just theories and have no official basis other than you THINK it looks like that. I think it would be a let down for neo to be the matrix because of obvious reason, he isnt human... which makes our hero... not really special in any way... also trinity being a program too? WOW reallllly stretching it are we? That would destroy her char as well. Its not a hero if its programmed to do what its doing and think what its thinking you dont think that defeats the purposE?

Nobody said Neo WAS the Matrix. They're saying that the "real world" is just another section of the Matrix, designed to keep the 0.1% of people who choose NOT to accept the Matrix under control. Also, it wasn't written anywhere that Neo OR Trinity was a program; however they HAVE code; everyone does, because that's what allows them to be in the Matrix. Neo's code is special, however, it contains the errors of the Anomoly, which is why he can do crazy things.

While waiting to see the Oracle in Matrix 1, the spoon-bending boy tells Neo there is no spoon. Yet in Matrox 2, Neo was given the spoon before departing. I doubt this was purely symbolic. There is no spoon, there is no ZION. It's just another layer used to handle the 1% dissenters.

There is no matrix within a matrix. i agree that it is too far-fetched. I think one matrix keeps the humans under control pretty well as it is.
