Brace yourself for impact (bad reviews).

Being the fanatic that I am, I've scoured the net for lots of reviews. While a few of them are very good, most are either bad or rather indifferent. While I liked Reloaded, I only liked it because I expected Revolutions to make sense of it.

So far, I've only seen one review even come close to saying that Revolutions gives us clear answers about what happened in Reloaded, and that was at popcultureshock.com.

He has a talkback section, and twice I've caught this particular reviewer in matrix misconceptions. If you go there, you may see my posts. This is all very very frightening to me.

And I know there will people that say that the movie will rock, and all that, but ask yourself this, what if it sucks?

I'm bracing myself now because of what has been said. If a particular spoiler is true, then I may be tempted to even walk out of the theater during the oracle's talk with neo concerning his zion abilities.

It's kind of sad too, so if I seem in a worse mood than usual (not just cruel, but cruel with a dash of bitter despair) then that's partially why. Right now I'm lowering my standards for this movie... A LOT, so that hopefully I can get some sort of enjoyment out of it.

I ask that all of you do the same, as I don't want my joke about mass suicides to become reality on the fifth.

eh tho, on the bright side, even the bad reveiws said the effects rocked...on the bright side.

i beleive that going into the movie with no expectations is the only way to be fully satisfied when leaving. everyone expected reloaded to be SO SICK, so when there was any tiny glitch in it everyone was outraged. in the first matrix noone knew what to expect so when they saw it it was amazing.

This website brings the world of the matrix to a new level, and although it will be dissapointing if the movie fails to meet this sites standards and theorys, but even if it does, we should still look at it at its face value. a hopefully exciting film that can successfully occupy and entertain ones mind for a few hours, as well as be a small piece of the matrix world.

may our faith in the wachowskis be justified....

they're just giving it bad reviews because they haven't been addicted to it like us. they haven't tried to find any deeper meaning in the films. but we sure as hell are trying to. so i believe that this forum and all our theories and posts combined will indeed make the matrix: revolutions a great movie. if we have to convince the other people watching with us that it is great we will heh. with a hammer....

I dont bother reading reviews anymore, I need to see it for myself before I form an opinion on the matter (espicallywhen it comes to movies). A lot of the time the people giving the review will go against the grain hoping to get their name out there. "yeah I think Michael Jordan doesnt crack the top 10 of greatest players of all time" or something like "mmmm that water quenched my thurst, but in the grand scheme of things water is overrated"...okay a bit of an exageration, but you get the point.

People may say the Matrix Revolutions sucked simply hoping someone bites on their opinion and they can make a name for them selves. I have faith in the Wacho's, they will NOT let us down!

Well......whether it meets all our expectations, each of us will have those answers on our own personal level, because we are all different people and expect different things. I try not to listen to what the reviews say, I believe that those people are just trying to make a buck by going against the grain sometimes to get themselves noticed. Alot of times I don't even listen to what my friends say about movies. Like this movie About Schmidt......I thought it was absolutely hilarious, but nearly everyone I know said they hated it and couldn't get into it.

We're talking about an establishment that gave "It's A Wonderful Life" bad reviews. Screw em.
