Does Neo know what his purpose is yet? I think he doesnt quit know what his pupose is yet or what he is supposed to do.All along he has been doing what people have told him to do, like going to the Merovingian etc... Like the Merovingian said,"why are you here?"and Morpheus replies,"We are looking for the Keymaker." and then Mero says,"Ah yes of course, the Keymaker, but this is not a reason this is not a why." It seems that they are there because the qracle sent them, like the mero said but that is still not a "why" or a reason. Does Neo know why? Does He know what he is supposed to do?
Neo doesn't have a distinct purpose as the prophecy gave us. He is a flaw in the system we call the Matrix, the machines must use the bug inside his code the clear up the Matrix-kernel.
Everything that happens inside the Matrix around the One is guided by the machines: the Oracle - a program - orders Neo to go to the Merovingian. Both the Oracle and The Keymaker then orders him to go to the Source to Reload the Source. In summary: Neo's actions are guided by the machines and programs.
At the end of Reloaded he comes aware of this and chooses to follow his own path and not that of the machines.
In Revolutions this choice will be shown as well. Neo makes his own commands and not the machines.
Neo's original purpose was to Reload the Matrix, but it's the purpose the machines gave to him. When he chooses another door and when he stopped the Sentinels, he looses his original purpose and got stuck in Mobil Ave. He then became a rogue program, but not under the control of Merovingian, but under his own control.
In Revolutions he will take over his original purpose, the one from the Oracle. The one which will end the war...
His Purpose was to make a Choice, its hard to catch but, when the Archatech said that the people would accept the program if they had a choice, at a almost uncounsise level, that choice was the one Neo, he was supposed to make a choice wether Zion falls or he could fight to try and save it from the machines.
So Neo's Purpose was to make a Choice, the probel is choice as he put it...and also the One was programed to have a connection with the people in the matrix, in his experience it was more specific....Love(Trinity)(Duh)
