Luc Not just in theaters, total! Mag-Z LOL, just watched it again last nite....i had an urge of sorts, i was like "hmm, i think i'll watch the Matrix...". i think it was the fact that when i was online i saw a thing for the trailer and i watched it and just had it stuck in my head..... ~Mag-Z Luc i've got it on dvd and watched it 2 days ago. i was thinking of getting matrix revisited too since I don't have that yet. Mag-Z havent had a chance to go out and get Revisited, is it good? Luc not sure, but it's got stuff from Matrix 1 and Matrix 2 in it. It's suppose to be a behind the scenes thing. Mag-Z i'll have to run out and get it this weekend, sounds interesting ~Mag-Z Punchanello I have the matrix revisited and i thought is was awsome but it really is a one time watch kinda documentary. And as far as the number of times seeing the matrix. I watched it every day before bed for a full 6 months. and i have seen it plenty of other times as well so we're talking atleast 180+ times Luc I watched it every day before bed for a full 6 months. and i have seen it plenty of other times as well so we're talking atleast 180+ times Ahh, that's great. You remind me of me :D I used to watch it every single day for a few months. I never got sick of it, but I stopped watching it daily for the fear of getting sick of it one day. Now I only watch it once a week tops. Luc L. WildCard Yeah, it's weird how no matter how many times you watch it, it doesn't get sickening. This is a rare case. I will admit that I went to the theater, saw it 3 times in a row that day. I got the large popcorn and soda, refilled inbetween each showing, loitered in the arcade and crashed the next showing. Then when it came out on DVD, I bought the best DVD player I could afford that had both component video and s-vid. S-vid is nice, but finally when I got my big screen TV with component inputs, first thing I watched on it was matrix! I just realized, if #3 is out November, that means probbly by Christmas 2004 there will be a boxed set released! I can only imagine the goodies stuffed in that pack... -WC- Luc I just realized, if #3 is out November, that means probbly by Christmas 2004 there will be a boxed set released! I can only imagine the goodies stuffed in that pack... Mmmmm. A trilogy above all trilogies. This will be one hell of a set! This wait is driving me nuts! Luc L. WildCard Yeah, I wish they had considered running both movies at the same time. Realistically, if #2 is popular for a long time, it might still be in the theaters in November - although I don't know if it will. So in November you could theoretically maybe see both #2 and #3 in the same day. -WC- Luc Yep, it's possible. But I'm sure it had something to do with money. If they release both at the same time chances are they'll make less money than releasing them a few months apart. Hardcore fans like you and I would see both a million times but the average person won't, they'll pick one or the other and only see one. But if the second one is playing months apart, and doesn't have much competition then that same average person who saw the first one (and somewhat liked it), will see the second one. I guess it makes sense (at least to me), although I would prefer to see them both at the same time, a million times. Luc L. WildCard yeah, you're right I suppose. Not many people care to sit watching moves for 5-6 hours. :D -WC- Tom I think they would have a better chance of people seeing the movies mutiple times when releasing it a few months apart. Lets people have time to see it a bunch and get hyped up for the next. WildCard Yeah, get the anticipative juices flowing... ;) -WC- Mag-Z I know that i will never get sick of The Matrix...its themes are cool, the graphics are cool, the story is excellent, the sense that it could possibly be true is....amazing. That's why Silence of the Lambs was so good too, because it could actually happen. Movies that make you think like that are awesome, and i really wish more were made like that. some movies are made outside the realm of possibility, and thus become detatched from reality. The Matrix, i think, could possibly exist. Its like (going back to the religious parallels) Heaven, Earth and Purgatory. How do we know this isnt Purgatory? Everytime i ask myself "What did i do to deserve this?" i start thinking, maybe i did do something to deserve it. who knows? I'm not saying im a psyco and that the matrix is real, im just saying movies that make you think like that are good ones. I'll stop rambling now. ~Mag-Z Luc I'll stop rambling now. rambling? that was a quality post! I totally agree. Mag-Z Thank you, Luc /nod ~Mag-Z Luc No problemo  Tom Originally posted by Mag-Z I know that i will never get sick of The Matrix...its themes are cool, the graphics are cool, the story is excellent, the sense that it could possibly be true is....amazing. It's such an awesome movie, I recommend it to anyone who likes sci-fi. WildCard Originally posted by Mag-Z I'm not saying im a psyco and that the matrix is real, im just saying movies that make you think like that are good ones. There's nothing psycho about those ideas at all. Totally true, atleast to the people that love the movie and are familiar with Catholicism. The idea that this is really purgatory is potentially true in my opinion, especially when you take into consideration that there is not one person that doesn't sin. But back to thread topic, yeah - I wondered for a little bit if maybe this movie was published by people outside of the matrix we are in - hoping to prime people about to be unplugged. ;) Now that is psycho! -WC- Mag-Z Not psyco at all, i must admit im guilty of such thought as well... ~Mag-Z Matrix Originally posted by Tom One of my other favorite movies that makes you think is "Cube" and to a lesser extent "Cube 2: Hypercube". It's such an awesome movie, I recommend it to anyone who likes sci-fi. Yes, I've seen Hypercube:2. You could compare it to the Matrix and the subject at hand in a weird sense. Both could truly be possible. We all could be blinded into a fake reality and our real bodies existing in another place or time, trapped in a wolrd which we cannot escape and our enslaved into becoming...batteries...or to that extent. Or like Hypercube where the goverment (higher powers, people far more advanced than we are or w/e) have acquired powers beyond anythign imaginable and use citizens as guinea pigs for their mad ideas for god knows what. I could go on and on aobut that but I'm afraid now I have to change my name, move to a different country, and get a new computer for fear they capture me and keep the truth from being reveled. Agents and the SWAT Teams..(guns firing in background)...so many of them....can't...hold....-static-...must.......find......phone.....and...new...underwear...(END TRANSMISSION) neo_sean Originally posted by Luc Not just in theaters, total! i've seen it atleast 50 times. it seems to have amazed me that it never gets boring and that you always find something new that you have never noticed in the movie before. Sephiroth 1-20 times yet, i know i know........ but the Cinema is expencise, and i only have the dvd rip since yesterday.... Luc cinema isn't cheap, but DVD rip is no excuse. The Matrix is one of the few movies that's definitely worth getting on DVD. The special effects can't be experienced on some 17 or 19 inch monitor with crappy speakers. There should be a disclaimer on the box of the movie: "Best viewed on a big screen TV with surround sound." I've got a killer set of speakers with amazing sound and a pretty nice flat panel, but it's no match for the 62 inch TV with a sub that makes my apartment shake. WildCard Yeah, you haven't lived until you see Matrix on big screen TV and surround sound - just as the helicopter Trinity is in flies right above Neo on that skyscraper. *slow helicopter rotor noise* ...whop...whop...whop...whop... Feels like it's flying right above your head! You know what I am sayin' Luc? :) -WC- Sephiroth Originally posted by WildCard Yeah, you haven't lived until you see Matrix on big screen TV and surround sound - just as the helicopter Trinity is in flies right above Neo on that skyscraper. *slow helicopter rotor noise* ...whop...whop...whop...whop... Quality is nearly the same and I don't risk messing up my originals. No Subwoofer, but it helps to get my fix of Matrix or Die Hard or Blade. -WC- Neo_45422 yea all my friends call me neo cuz i love the matrix soo much lol...........i sometimes watch the matrix two times a day View Full Version : How many times did you see the first Matrix movie? |
