A few weeks ago a very popular theory was roaming this board. The mysterious man who was carried away from Merovingian, just before our heroes entered, who is he???
A popular answer was the timekeeper-theory, the fact that time and clocks are visible in many occasions, surplus the fact that you here a cuckoo-clock, surplus that Merovingian sais: "But then if we do not ever take time, how can we ever have time? "
It is clear that that man has something to do with time, he controls time, he is the timekeeper !!!!!
RIIIIIIIIIIGHT
Now we do not hear nothing from him, it or the theory. I can conclude that this theory has failed, it hasn't have any basis and is highly doubtful.
The man in fact is Rama-Kandra, he is married to Kamala and they have a child called Sati. This family plays a big role in Revolutions. When Neo goes to Mobil Ave, he meets the Trainman, which brings him in contact to this family.
Although I'm not sure I predict that the entire family are programs (the child of two programs...) and that they are hiding for the Merovingian.
But what is so important about this family? Why was Rama-Kandra with the Merovingian? why are they hiding? What has the Oracle and her termination code has to do with it? How can Neo help?
With only 2 days left, I hope somebody can tell me some answers.
I don't know what this has to do with anyhting, but in the trailer you see Rama-Kandra punch Neo causing him to fly back and break some tile.
You probably already knew that.
The Timekeeper-theory stated that Rama-Kandra controls the timeflow within The Matrix. The one who started that thread gained many believers, but maybe a bigger number of disbelievers. Now as we move forward to november 5th, we know that his name is Rama-Kandra. I want to recall that theory and pour it into a new jacket:
Who is Rama-Kandra?
PS It is not Rama-Kandra who punches Neo. It is the Trainman who did. He some how wants to protect the family from him. Don't now why, but maybe you could help?
I'll own up to the development of the "Timekeeper" theory. Keep in mind that the term "Timekeeper" was for identification purposes only.
You are looking for someone to spoon-feed answers to you. I can give you some, but not all.
In Hinduism, Prince Rama-Kandra is the seventh incarnation/avatar (out of 10) of Vishnu (Vishnu is regarded as a major god in Hinduism and Indian mythology. He is thought as the preserver of the universe, while two other major Hindu gods, Brahma and Shiva, are considered the creator and destroyer of the universe, respectively). Prince Rama is the hero of the Indian epic the Ramayana. In this story, he is the son of the King of Ayodhya, and heir to the throne. However, his stepmother wants him banished from the kingdom so that her natural son can become heir to the throne. Regretfully, the king (being whipped) asks that Rama leave the kingdom. Seeing his father's predicament, Rama gladly leaves the kingdom for the forest.
Rama goes to live in the forest with his brother and with his wife, Sita. While there, Rama drives off some Rakshas (enemies of Vishnu) from the forest. Their demonic leader, Ravana, seeks revenge on Rama by abducting Sita.
Rama, his brother, and Hanuman, the Monkey King, set off to free Sita from the island of Lanka, where Ravana is holding her. Hanuman uses his powers to build a bridge using the bodies of his monkey army for Rama to cross, and flying in on Hanuman's shoulders, Rama shoots an arrow into Ravana. He has succeeded in killing the demon and liberating his wife.
Furthermore, both Kamala and Sita are considered incarnations/avatars of Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, who is the consort of Lord Vishnu.
*To draw some parallels, perhaps the Merovingian is equated with Ravana, and perhaps the Merovingian kidnapped Rama-Kandra's daughter, Sita. Moreover, perhaps the only way to get Sita back was by selling the Oracle's termination code to the Merovingian.*
Now, does this mean that Rama-Kandra's function as the timekeeper is wrong? Not necessarily. After all, Rama-Kandra does appear at the "Loop" in "Mobil Ave," and a loop in computer programming continuously repeats itself, regardless of time.
BTW, for my own point of reference, where has it been confirmed that these three individuals are Rama-Kandra, Kamala, and Sita?
I know nothing about Hinduistic legends and stories. Thank you for filling me in.
It is not that I want to be spoonfed - although it is very easy - I'm just hoping that somebody want to share any ideas about him, I have ideas of my own, but I want to hear from you first.
I found at www.whatisthematrix.com a series of pictures of revolutions. One of them is Rama-Kandra, Kamala and Sati on the left, Neo on the right.
I looked in the Cast&Crew section and found the names of the actors and what role they played.
The former timekeeper is Rama-Kandra, his wife is Kamala and there daughter is Sati. That's how I found out who they are.
Rama appeared in Merovingian's restaurant for a few seconds and we know already that he appears in Mobil Ave in Revolutions.
I believe that the child of Rama and Kamala is the child of the two programs, the Oracle mentioned before in ETM. Somehow the Merovingian forced Rama to give up the termination code of the Oracle. Maybe this refers to "Give me the eyes of the Oracle and I will give you back you savior." He knows that the child is special, just as the Oracle does. He kidnapped Sati to keep her for his own purpose. To prevent that anyone else would found out about this girl - like Neo - he wants the Oracle terminated, because she is the only one who knows as well about the child.
He forced Rama - the father of the child - to give him the termination code of the Oracle (restaurant-scene), he then will get his daughter back.
She changed her shell after that, that's why she looks different now, but the termination code is useless now.
The reason why Rama and his family are now in Mobil Ave as well, I don't know. Maybe because of the proces I mentioned above, they did something they weren't supposed to be doing. Therefore they lost there purpose and became useless, consequence: Mobil Ave.
Quick question Spectator when you said she changed her shell did you mean the Oracle because if you did I gotta say you're reading way to much into it because the reason she looks different is because the actress playing the Oracle died hence the new shell (actress) But if you meant someone else then my apologies.
I did indeed mean the Oracle.
Gloria Foster, the previous Oracle, tragically died last year. For Revolutions a new actrice was needed to take her place.
The W bros didn't want to do half work, so in order to rectify the change of the Oracle-actrice in the matrix-story, they added the Rama-Kandra story
Rama-Kandra is the man in the restaurant of the Merovingian in m2. He's the man of which the Oracle speaks about in ETM, the father of the child of two programs. In order to save his daughter - because she is purposeless - he had to sell the termination code to Merv, that's why she had to change her shell to prevent that he would delete her.
I dont understand exactly the choice the Oracle made. I do know that the trainman punched neo, because he did not want him entering the train (which went back to the matrix) because of the mero's orders.
He did NOT punch him to protect the family, he was grim and sterm with them. In fact, as they were trying to get Neo with them on the train he said something to the effect of "Get on the train, or you are staying here with him." The reason Neo has no powers there is because it is the TRAINMANS program, it is like a buffer in the middle of the matrix and the real world, the train going back to the matrix. The family, i do not know how significant this is, but someone said before that it is important because she is the first child born within the matrix, and this is a relevation for the machines. Neo says something like "How can you feel love, you are a machine?". The Rama-Kandra is a program, that no longer has a purpose, as he says, love has no purpose for the machines (or so he says).
Therefore, he was targetted for deletion, and he struck a bargin with the Mero for the saftey of his daughter, because he loves her, THAT is why he is in Mobil Ave., because he is taking his daughter to saftey. What i dont understand, is why was there the tick tock clock noise as they escorted him out, and why did the twins make a inside joke about time??
Sati is the first child born in the Matrix with two programs as parents. Every program that is created inside the Matrix, must have a certain purpose inside the System. Rama-Kandra is keeper of the powerplant and Kamala is creative designer, but Sati is inside the Matrix with no purpose, therefore she was meant to be deleted. Rama-Kandra feels a great love for his daughter (love is just a word, it's the connection that implies it). He went to the 'Frenchmen' to make a deal to save his daughter. Merovingian accepted this, he would smuggle Sati inside the Matrix with help of the Trainman in a trade that Rama-Kandra gives him the termination code of the Oracle. That is why the Oracle changed her shell - her appearance - to save herself. This entire story is later on added in, because Gloria Foster sadly died and the appearance of a new actrice should be rectified inside the Matrix-storyline.
The time-related that you believed had something to do with Rama-Kandra, has obviously nothing to do with Rama-Kandra. Because after I saw Revolutions there was no reason at all to believe that Rama has something to do with time.
View Full Version : What happened to the Timekeeper???
