The Sun Is Shining?

I looked at some of the spoilers that people found among some other stuff but there was one thing that was never explained if anyone remembers in the preview there is the sun shining and it looks like Neo and Trinitys ship so will someone tell me who that is and what is going on because I don't think the spoiler is correct also because I heard all the sentinels Niobe destroys were actually ones for Zion I heard

is this the scene. I don't know I've asked that same question. Its wierd

apparantly, the sky isnt really scorched, but the machines keep it scorched to fool the rebels. at the end of revo it is revealed.....

Why would they need the Matrix then, if they had Solar Power?

Don't get your hopes up -- while Neo and Trin are being bombarded by bombs, Neo tells her to pull up. The ship bursts through the black clouds to come above, when suddenly the ship burns out from the move, causing them to fall back beneath.

I used to believe only Africa (above Zion) was scorched, and that the rest of the world wasnt. I also thought Zion=01, and the beings were actually the AI bots thinking they were human, and machines only thouhg they won the war, when in fact there are real human cities on the other side of the world.

exactly, thats my theory ... or its all a matrix with different levels and the humans control it from outside ... we'll see ...

to answer the first question, i think they're just flying above the black clouds. the machines aren't keeping the sky polluted they just can't figure out how to get rid of it. and the sentinel is gonna p0wn trinity and neo heh.

cant be, because you see the ship crashing into something in another trailer ... (the scene is shown some frames longer there) . And if they are above the black clouds, why is it red/orange at the bottom ? I I think it's a desert or something dusty ... i even think the quadratic lighter forms at the orange horizon are buildings :) ...

ADDITION: I just saw, that theres a line of smoke behind the ship and it leads back into the ground, so it must be above the sky ... you are right !!!

umm, you don't go 'above' the sky. Ok, also, if all they had to do was go high enough to get above the scorch, then the machines could just build big towers for collecting solar energy.

I believe that scene is shown to us for a reason. I think it means something important in the movie.

i just saw a trailer on tv with the ship crashing or whatever and on the trailer the sky didnt look like this it was all black or greyish i dont know but it seems as if that picture is a fake or maybe not im not sure i may have not been paying attention to the sky

My friend Terikan is right...If they are 'above' the sky why are there still clouds there?

They aren't above the sky, they shoot through the black clouds to when thier ship burns out, leaving them to come back down.........

Last time I checked, theres many layers to our atmosphere.

Last time I checked, cloud formations don't exist above the troposphere. Thanks for coming out.

Someone said they were above where the sky was scorched...'sky' implies troposphere where our weather occurs, therefore it is not simply a case of them flying above the scorched sky. because above it there wouldn't be any clouds. Therefore, it must mean either a)the sky wasn't scorched; b) there's an area which hasn't been scorched - unlikely; c) the machines have cleared the scorched sky; or d) something else. Either way, I'm right and you are wrong. Keep up the good work.

Have any of you read the little cartoons on thematrix.com that will be published soon. There's one about some kids who find grain and grow it to make bread. So somewhere in the world there's enough light to make grain grow. I think the machines got lazy during the last five runnings of the matrix and there is some land somewhere where human's are free of war. Check it out and let me know what you think.

im sorry my mistake you know that matrix 1 is coming on today(tuesday) and came on monday and sunday anmd they show a really good revolutions scenes including the one where the ship crashes and after seeing it at least 5-6 times the sky is not scorched but there is a moon in the sky, there is also a scene where he talks to the machine mainframe when he travels to the machine city and it is on the surface bacause you can see mountains and stuff.

the sky is scorhed. watch the animatrix. ive seen a clip where theres a tiny gap in teh black sky where the sun is then it goes back to being black

This might answer it. Maybe the ship is hit by a sential, trinity pulls the ship up though the clouds and the ship losses power from the impact and it hits into a building in 01.( they show a little bit more in other trailers)

Don't know how it happened...BUT there before my eyes was the ship going through the scorched sky and popping out above it with some lovely clouds on the other side. Strange...why didn't the machines just build taller buildings?

i think that after the machines built the growing human fields they discovered that the sky was not completly scorched they realized that humans gave them more power and less hassle in the fields

this thread is probably 1 month old or so but I notice all of yall just dont seem to pay much attention with the trilogy like I do if you remember morpheus has done alot of explaining about the perfect world's coming upon neo entering the machine world 01 somehow the positive and negitive forces were balancing each other out and there for it caused a collaboration between the two, two? worlds and thats just it thats what morpheus prophecy has been about all along.

To answer the aforementioned question. The dark clouds are what scorches the sky. Just think about it like this: on a cloudy day the sun is blocked out. So man had made the clouds to cut off the light; energy from the sun. Once you go above the clouds the sky is no longer scorched. THE MACHINES DON'T FLY ABOVE THE CLOUDS.

I've seen it. Niobe gives Neo the Logos to fly to the machine city. Swarms of sentinals attacks them an Neo tells Trinity to fly up. She does so and flies past the clouds. The ship stays in the sun just long enough fo Trinity to see the real sun for the first time in her life. Then the ship tips into a nose dive and falls straight toward the machine city. What happens next is very sad.
