bullet time

In the first matrix, when neo dodges bullets or bullet time occurs, you can see the ripples that each bullet leaves in the air. this does not occur in reloaded or revolutions (beginning of chateau fight in reloaded) and (hell club fight in revolutions). why? is it just a mistake or a diffrent level/speed of bullet time?

in the chateau it's not bullet time, and it probably isn't bullet time on that clip from revolutions. however, it is bullet time when trinity jumps from the building, and it will probably make an appearance somewhere in m3.

thats true but wouldnt you see still the ripples in the chateau? if its moving slow enough that you can see individual bullets, you should probably see the ripples, i dunno maybe im wrong

the ripples are cool but they probably didnt want to keep doing the same thing

Quite correct.

Also, when we see Neo stop the bullets in the finale of The Matrix, we could say we're seeing Bullet Time much like he does, where time slows. Then, during the Chaeteau, we're seeing what the attackers are seeing when he stops the bullets.

Just an idea.

the reason they didn't use bullet time is because they used virtual cinimatography. they stopped using bullet time because so many films coppied them e.g. shrek, scary movie etc.
