Hack the Matrix discussion

I've gained access to b drive, v drive, and ram.

Neo just told me to follow the white rabbit. Anyone get past that point?

No, no not really.I've gotten b drive, but hang on a minute. Is this an expansion of the game? What is the purpose of hacking? And if anyone can give me a basic DOS rundown, it would be greatly appreciated. My DOS skills are a lil rusty....

well. it's not actually DOS, that's what pissed me off.

the DIR command is the same, but there is no CD command,
etc. bottom line, if you want to change directories type in
DIR and the directory name, or type in DIR alone to see
all of the directories.

there is no fdisk command, lol :p

can someone explain to me the whole point of the hacking thing :)

I suspected it was a modified version of DOS, but I thought my memory had failed me. Thanks:)

The point of the hacking is to hack deep enough and unlock special aspects of the game. Example: Milti-player, a training program, etc. Now the ones I just mentioned are also accesable by entering a cheat code to unlock it, but other, less obviuos ones, are only unlocked by pure hacking deep into The Matrix and recieving messages from certain charecters and files, and translating them into hidden messages.

After you talk to Sparks and get his message from Neo, is there anything else you can do? Sparks says something like "you're done here, bye.", and it kicks you out of the hacking console back to the main menu.

Is there anything else you can do after this, or is the hacking really over? I've heard about swords and secret levels and stuff...

unless you need the sword program. Go to training and use swordfight.this should work tell me if i'm wrong. Oh Go to level select with the file you completed hackwith and go all the way left
you'll get multi-plaer mode. You can't use focus though. It's just good ol' martial arts.

I personally believe the hacking might go deeper (soon). In one of the text files, you see www.thematrix.com:[hex code]. If you know where to enter this hex code into the website, you will get some special feature.

Two days ago, I tried to enther this in, but the ZION Hex access declined it--Yesterday it accepted the code, but displayed "Data not yet Online". I think this might open some new hacking features. We'll see within a week or so.

Look at the bottom of the page...... Why wouldn't the contact information link work. Just read some of the content and figure it out for yourself. I am not tweekin' either I get enough sleep and havn't touched my game in over a week. :eek:

Ugh, anyone trying to run the game with a Radeon 9000 with 128mb ddr? Mine keeps getting wonky and crappy looking.

:confused: i got to the 2nd brown door in the infinity level, but how do you get to another door (apart from the 2 brown doors)?
and how do you get the flashlight? and how do you disable cheats?:confused:

thats it once you get to the part when neo say follow the white rabbit and it shuts down the hacing it is pretty much over

I have a question. I have completed the game as Ghost and Niobe. I have unlocked all of the cheats/hacks except multiplayer. However, some of the .fmv files are still locked! Specificly, .fmv 2, 6, 9, 16 & 19. So, how do I unlock and play those vid.s? Any ideas/thoughts?

i can help u get the multiplayer but i first need 2 no wut platform u r playing the game on. (system)

Thankx fer the offer...however, I already know how to get the multiplayer mode. What I'm looking for is how to unlock some .fmv files! Any ideas? I'm using the XBox.

just a side note, anyone can confirm that PC version doesn't have MP option?

Also i hear there is a way to play as Neo but if it has anything to do with going through the drives i can only get to B then I need a password to get into tools, how can i get to the other drives man!!!!!!!!????

u can go 2 www.gamewinners.com. then u can print off the codes you need. this section helps you with hacking also.

how do u get the sword

first beat the game. Then it'll be in the V drive
