This may have been discussed here before, but seeing as how I am new the forum but not new to the notion that the W-bros love symbolism, has the book Neo hides his illicit programs in at the beginning of M1 ever been discussed in detail?
The book was Simulacra and Simulations by Jean Baudrillard (http://www.stanford.edu/dept/HPS/Baudrillard/Baudrillard_Simulacra.html).
That url starts off with the extracted text:
from Jean Baudrillard, Selected Writings, ed. Mark Poster (Stanford; Stanford University Press, 1988), pp.166-184.
The simulacrum is never that which conceals the truth--it is the truth which conceals that there is none.
The simulacrum is true.
Ecclesiastes
The section of the book he cut out to hide his money and disks starts at the beginning of the chapter 'On Nihilism'.
The american Heritage Dictionary defines Nihilism as: The belief that destruction of existing political or social institutions is necessary for future improvement. http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=nihilism
I also found a reference on the specific chapter in the book itself.
In the chapter titled "On Nihilism," Baudrillard takes a major stance in his regards to God's existence, and the existence of any authentic meaning in life.

I have already dug into this shortly after getting the DVD (but long before finding this forum) - it's amazing what you find when you go frame by frame. (I also tried desperately to read the articles on morphius on his computer, but didn't find anything useful)
Any input?
