think about this:
if the people who think they found something and decide to post it dont because they see that it was posted already (lets say two weeks ago) then they wont post it... letting the fact that it is a good find die away and be lost for ever in millions of threads. and then say some young, wandering newbie (that could turn to be the next LUC) doesnt go back and check the posts that were posted 2 weeks ago. therefore the newbie doesnt get the information and goes on with his whole life without knowing that the bros. forshadowed that there was going to be an architect. now so all of us who have been here for a long time and know about all the stuff that has been said in the past, dont forget that not everyone is 'expirienced' in the matrix...thank you for your time
umm first of all, most people that join this sight never end up posting, Actually most people here never post more than somthing like 5.
Secondly, if the information is really that interesting, then there will constantly be posts on it, and it will remain on the first page.
Finally, if most people arent posting, or are planning on it, how hard would it be to just real quick go to search?

so you're saying toymachine's wrong? oooooo chile. seriously, newbies may have a life outside this fourm. let em do what they want.
i agree with toymachine. i dont noe how many times, a new posts starts out with "this idea has already been discussed" and then blows up into a huge discussion. plus, give em a damn break... everyone has to make things easy for YOU. they have to do a search 10x so that you dont have to click on a thread and then read it, the whole time knowing that it had already been discussed. plus, you say you dont wanna waste you're time, but everyone always takes time to reply to tell them that it had already been discussed.

Actually, most newbies who post so-called discoveries are so
excited that they refuse to believe someone discovered it first,
and post a new thread anyway. Why do a search when it'll only
prove that you were late in discovering it? Thus, "Use the
frigging search feature!" is a totally appropriate reply :)
yeah, its really hard on you. .. having to make someone else feel bad because you chose to read their post. i bet its a HUGE inconveinance for you, and its probably ruining your experience on this forum. so yeah, that justifies you for putting them down.

I'll bet you enjoy yelling at us as much as we enjoy yelling at them. BTW, people reading this might not know you were being sarcastic.
wait, she was being sarcastic. Man thats no fun.
lol
I put people down because if they dont learn the first time, and other people dont read it, then we may have 250 people a day joining just to post there fascinating new discovery on how there is more than one matrix

Wait . . . there is more than one matrix? I'd better start a new thread to discuss this fascinating new discovery.

hehe:D
wait....you're starting a new thread to discuss more than one matrix? I'd better sit at my computer all night and wait for it to be posted so i can be the first one to yell at you!

well, i only yell for a reason. there IS too much fuss about reaccuring posts. you yelling at them, causes it to stay at the top which causes more people to waste their time. if the only reason you're gonna post is to yell at someone becuz they arent a nerdy matrix geek, your wasting everyone's time. now, you say that they are wasting your time, but you spend 5 minutes out of you life to reply. seriously, reacurring posts arent doing any harm to the forum. you whining about them is the problem.
no, if i didnt whine about them, then they would drift away and another noob would post them, and this post took prolly less than 30 seconds to write.

You have to admit I'm right. All you have to do is remember the
last time you discovered something about the Matrix and consider
what your options were when you visited this site concerning
the discovery. Do you post a thread about it or do you check
first to see if it has been brought up before? Level-headed folks
will at least try a few searches before posting, but newbies for
the most part would never think about searching for fear that
their discover was old news. Who would want to admit to being
slow?
:)
Actually, its a forgivable mistake to start threads on old ideas if you're new-I started this way myself. It is not nice however if you shove polite reminders that you can recap what has been said before out the window. It's alot better to check up on what's been said, know the major players and their points and then raise any new ones instead of going "ohigotagoodpointithinknoone'severthoughtofbefore" the way so many noobs do...and yes I'm amazed as well how so many folk still bother starting major conversations on that new thread again that speak of nothing new as well. <shrugs> 'guess its all in good fun...

um...mmk, calm down. take a deep, deep breath and relax. You're freaking out over this. do i really bother you that much? i don't understand. i've noticed that you tend to post on the negative side. You shoot people down for their own opinions. You tell them to shut up when they do not agree with you, and you don't give in. It's bad when people like me yell at newbies, but its just downright horrible when you yell at someone for their own beliefs on things, even if they aren't right.

umm, i am posting on the positive side. you're on the negative. dummy. and this entire thread is about giving people breaks, i am agreeing with giving them breaks. you are arguing that i put people's ideas down too much, when this thread is about giving new comers a chance, and letting people say whats on their mind (which i am agreeing with). i am saying we should give ppl a chance to speak, and you are telling me im too close minded. i dont noe how to reason with you. it seems in this thread that you are the one taking the negative side, and you are plain out saying that we should yell at people for no reason except that they are excited about their ideas. your so god damn ignorant. jesus christ.
once again, i urge you to calm down. I am not trying to be negative, but i just don't understand what you are trying to do. There is no suggestion that you are positive. Perfect example:

now, how am i supposed to react to that? Do you think that by calling people names, you will be satisfied? i don't even understand why we are "argueing." oh well, i guess some people cannot be changed.
I'd take pleasure in guttin' you... boy. -- "The Rock" (the movie, not the pro-wrassler)
blah, blah... and blah.
sometimes it's good when people come along and post a theory/thought that has already been discussed before because sometimes those threads can get mighty big and it can be very time consuming reading the whole thing to see if someone else has posted what you want to/have.
it's simple, direct them to the right thread. no flaming necissary. yes, it would be nice if people did do a quick search before posting thoughts, but some people just don't feel the need to search everytime they want to start a new thread.
this has turned sour...
...so by the powers invested in me, i am Captain Planet!.. i mean... a moderator!
