Anyone see the new Revolutions Trailer put out today, Sep 24. Oh My God its fricken amazing. It shows Neo talking to a machine in the Real World, and him in a ship in the real world flying blindfolded using his emp thing to take down ships. What does it all mean, any thoughts?? Wow, im so excited!!!
at the matrix reloaded website,
http://whatisthematrix.warnerbros.com/
either download it or watch the three spots, i recommend downloading the trailer, 10.4 mb
I love the part where Neo sees Smith within Bane's body.
By the way, I don't believe there's a "Real World" (how do you explain the orange thing, energy?, code?, ...)
My thoughts after slowmo'ing through the whole trailer:
- the 3 powerlines are now blatantly obvious :).
- that dark orb-like being talking to neo looks like it has the architects face reflecting on the front. Not 100% sure, but it does slightly look like him.
- Neo allows the machines to plug him in.
- Neo wakes up in a subwaystation. My guess is this is the place where the Merovingian is keeping him trapped. The girl standing next to him is supposedly the daughter of the guy being led away in M2 when Neo arrives at the Merovingians restaurant (looks like he has a wife too, at least a pic in the photosection of the site tells us so). According to the Oracle this girl (a program) is a keyplayer in the movie.
- we see a large construction at the end of the human fields (looks like some gigantic city, 01?)
- mr. 72 hours from ETM guttsmashes Neo into a wall (text: mobil ave), while the girls mom and dad are standing there by the subway doors. As a side note, it's pretty obvious they used a stunt double :).
- Neo realizes Bane is Smith and sees him for what he is (flame-like vision).
- Smith in the Oracles kitchen (oh wow, there's a shocker, NOT! ;)).
- Awesome special FX on the mechs! (looking better than the FX in Reloaded so far).
- Neo and Smith fight, nothing new there.
- Neo and Bane fight, also, nothing new.
- Guy jumping in front of the 'loop' subway train. Looks to me like it's mr. 72 hours (long hair and long coat).
- Uh-oh, they breached the dockwalls :(.
- More way cool mech FX :).
- Neo walking through a golden like tunnel (I don't wanna hear anyone say anything about birthcanals and tunnels with light at the end).
- Neo doing the same trick he did at the end of Reloaded: stopping sentinels with his bare hands. This debunks the whole EMP theory and tells us it was in fact Neo who made them stop.
- As Trin and Neo fly through the exploding sentinels, one smashes through the windshield of the hovercraft and goes through Neo's body in a ghost-like manner.
- Smith talking to someone on a chair, or at least I think they are Smiths. Looks like we're in the oracles kitchen too, judging from the furniture to the left of the scene and the doorway to the right.
- blue sky! Looks like not all of the sky is scorched or they found a way to escape from it.
These are about all the things I noticed in the trailer. I'm not going to make any assumptions just yet. But if anyone has anything they'd like to add, please feel free to do so :p.
Update:
The yellow/orange like hallway Neo's walking in looks a lot like the last part of the robots dream in matriculated (thanks to my good buddy rootrider for the info).
doesn't it seem like neo is fighting with the machines now, ie helping them stop smith, and smith is fighting against the machines, ie they can't control him anymore??
Also, why do you think that neo is blindfolded?
What i want to know is why neo got hurt stopping the sentinals at the end of reloaded? anybody know the correct answer to that? because i knew he was able to free his mind and stuff but if he can stop bullets was it like the machines electrical energy or something?

Judging from the dialog at the start of the trailer Neo indeed seems to be helping the machines to get rid of smith. I'm not sure why he's destroying the sentinels though. Maybe Smith is controlling them?
The reason for him being blindfolded most likely is because his eyes got hurt some way or the other. If you look under his eyes there's blood there. My guess would be he was hurt in the battle with Bane/Smith in the Real World.

Maybe the realisation he can in fact stop sentinels in the Real World was a bit too much for him? Or it could have something to do with his eyes? Maybe he needs to loose his vision before he can fully use his alternate senses? (like the way he can see the matrix code or the flaming smith). That might be the reason he doesn't faint when stopping sentinels in the Revolutions trailer.
well maybe not only but definetly most important in my opition
BLUE SKY ....what the hell do you think happens??
how can there be blue sky...i actually see the moon too....thats carzy.....my god this trailer has got me so excited...and as we all know the bros never gave away too many things ....and this trailer has sooo many things ....just think how much more stuff we're gonna find out in 37 days time...
damn.....
i think im just as excited as you, probably more.
Hey Crahan, those three powerlines are very interesting, im sure that they are towards the end of the movie, because when neo and trinity are flying towards them, his eyes are blindfolded, so its after the bane fight. Obviously now, neo can 'feel' in the real world, like he does in the matrix. EX...when they are flying towards the three powerlines, he's blowing them up with his emp, he's actually holding them back!!!!!!!!!!!wow, that just hit me how amazing that is!!!!
This movie is gonna be so awesome!!!!
Another question though, why does the merovingian say, bring me the eyes of the oracle and i will give you back your savior. ???
very good points, crahan.

That is just what I first thought when I saw Reloaded for the first time. You hit the nail on the head, CraHan.
As Trin and Neo fly through the exploding sentinels, one smashes through the windshield of the hovercraft and goes through Neo's body in a ghost-like manner.
are you sure you are interpreting this right? looks like it is done by the big sun-like machine that tells him to speak. If your interpretation is correct, then how in the hell could this NOT be miam? So far, all of his other real-world tricks could be explained alternatively, and I thought I had a new idea for it, but not if you really think he made a sentinel phase through him.
The sentenal going through him might be in his mind because its a different color(not blue or green). You see the same color in the part where he walking threw that weird hallway and the ground turn in to liquid or something with each step he takes. So that my be in his mind too.
