More about Merovingian in M3!

Monica Bellucci (sp?) said in an interview she plays a really small part (bleck i like trinity more anyway) but there is going to be more about the Merovingian and how he destroys family and that Persephone was a victim! That the Merovingian is evil not her. The he kidnapped her. (well the kidnapping thing sounds familiar according to the context of her name) I would like to hear some thoughts on the Mero cuz...I dunno i have nothing else to do...heh

The Merovingian is somebody who in first hand plays a minor role in the story, he is just the badguy. But the more you see his speech, other threads, then you realize that the Merovingian is very important to the story.

There are 3 types of programs inside the Matrix:
Free programs whose purpose it is to fight the System (Neo, Morpheus and all of the Zion-people - inside the Matrix they are just a program)
Not-free programs whose purpose it is to serve the System (Architect, Agents, Oracle, Seraph, bird-program etc.)
Free programs whose without purpose (Merovingian, Twins, Persephone, Smith). These programs are called rogue programs and The Merovingian is the leader of all the rogue programs, every program who got disconnected comes to him. Neo will join him in M3 - with his coma he looses his purpose.

The Merovingian has much influence and minds his business with almost everything and everyone, he knows a lot about the Matrix, the Reloading process, the people living inside The matrix and so on. He is the man who knows it all and has a great deal of power. But what do men with power want? More power! Therefore he kidnapped the Keymaker, to let him work for him. With his keys he can enter backdoor alley to go places no man has gone before (the Source) if he somehow can reach the Source and The Architect he can change the Matrix in his own matter.

This is something we can do noet have to guess and know almost for sure, there are other theories about The Merovingian which are still point of discussion:
Merovingian was a former One, maybe the first or the second.
Merovingian will be replaced by Neo.
Merovingian was a former Architect.
Merovingian is Popper's father (I heard that somewhere, but is very plausible)
Merovingian took possesion of the Timekeeper, the program who controls the timeflow in The Matrix, in order to turn time back to undo his fault.
Merovingian went to The Architect, but chose the wrong door.
and so on... and so on, we will never now if these are true, perhaps in Revolutions.

Are you refering to the Key Maker? Or the Oracle/Architect?
