Express Elevators in the Matrix?

I know this'll sound very crazy and an inane observation made only by the most exacting of fans...but have you wondered at the speed of the express elevator in the MeroVingian's building?
Let me explain myself. Let's assume a few things.
1) They started their ascent on the Ground Floor (it sure looks busy enough)
2) They indeed stopped at Floor 101 as indicated on the wall of the lobby they came out at-not floor 10 section 1 or something...
3) There was no pause in filming since doors-close to doors-open

Now I measured their conversation and found out that, including acceleration, they covered 100 floors in 15 seconds! What the-with roughly 3 meters per floor that's 300 meters in 15 seconds-almost one/fifteenth the speed of sound! I dunno how fast that might be-but wouldn't they actually be pushed rather uncomfortably to the ground? :D LOL

:D Still interesting though. We see that everything else means something- why shouldn't this? Although this is one of those things that just looks like a simple mistake. *shrugs*

i m guessing that the elevator took longer than 15 seconds, they just cut out a lot of time because there was no talk/unnesesary time, etc.

It's all code, maybe Merovingian has tweaked his elevator a bit. :)

I think it is shortened because they just want to show us what is important in that scene, i mean, it would be ridiculous to show us a scene of 4 or 5 minutes with Neo, Trin and Morpheus standing quietly until they get to the 100 floor!!!!!!

It's funny how you watch a film over and over and then someone else points out something on the film that you didn't actually notice before!? Or that might just be me! lol :D

I think 5 minutes of nice elevator music and Neo flipping out on Trinity and Morpheus would be a nice story line.

Why? I have never actually hear any music in an elevator before. Myself.

Awwwwww. You better yet? Does it still hurt? :( I think it's there but is really quiet so only people with incredibly good hearing can enjoy it. Damn this world!

Naw elevator music's only in certain places...more of Western countries. I've heard it before and sometimes its really annoying...
