How far is the Matrix from Reality?

I belive we are in the matrix, I dont know if its like the movie, and if you are free you can fly... or if we live in a phisics ruled life... may be the society is the matrix and we are slaves of political powerful men, but im sure we are slaves... of somebody...or something.. but.. we should study more of this freak... I know there is a way to free us... just... we have to find it...

Well I agree with Garrethief about the reality of our very own world equivalent to the so called MATRIX. But the point is not about flying n breaking walls but its about managing us successfully in this very world.
Now it can be easily proven that this world is MATRIX. Most basic example can be taken from magic. How would anyone define "VooDoo" and teh "BlackMagic" spells. Everyone knows they work, but the point is I think a certain spell as a Cheat code for our MATRIX [and gosh it works].
Dont we still believe in the horoscope stuff n all ....

personally, no. i don't beleive in "teh black magic". But i do think there is a possiblity that this is not the real world. Weather or not we are hooked up to power sucking machines is debatable. Of course, this may be little optamistic me hoping theres somthing more than this. Like religion. Born from our desire for something more to exist besides this crappy life.

Well thanks for your optimism. But yeah what craves us is of happening something "MORE..." . Living in a machine world but still suffering [what kind sisy architect made this]. AI could had been used to a much better and happier version. But YES I sometimes still have that feeling of being Watched over by some unknown force.

I think that just about sums it up. If you were living in paradise, you woulodn't believe it and would be trying to learn the truth.

That was ofcourse a well spoken dailogue from Mr.Smith.
But talkin about reality wouldnt it be better to hav a much happier version, ofcourse not the hapiest of all but somethin more satisfactory. Now if living in paradise would make us look for truth, didnt U said thts its just a feeling to look more besides a crappy life.
Besides that happier version could had some fail recovery sys's - u know wht i am takin.
Nvr mind, we wr talkin abt reality, hmmmm.... I am still thinkin some more proof.

see, thats the thing, thats why i think the matrix is such a crazy movie, because it isnt real, yet there are things in there that really make you wonder wheather it is real or not.

Hi there... ok.. and.. if the matrix doesnt exist... if isnt real... soo what?... matrix is a metaphor... the important thing of the movie is the general idea: freedom-slavery.
In my tesis filosophy tesis I dont talk about a machine word, a digital word, I talk of a prison for our mines... and certainly its true the society makes our way of life, and is really easy to induce a complete society to do something, just you need to use a massive means...

I am waiting for the call... but before... we have to prepare our mines... then POST!

Hello everyone, I actually don't believe we are in the matrix, however the people who do, I respect that. For you never know, what if the machines had the matrix movies created just to blind us from the truth even further. This is what I have heard anyways.

Well my friend leaving the family and friends for search of truth has occured and will occur. These so called "Saints" do sacrifice things for search of truth. But thats not our point. Our debatable point is whether our MATRIX is a reality or just a fake.
As I said before I'll be back with a proof. Infact I had the proof long before hand but I just thought it would make me appear some way crazy. But now I think it hardly matters.
The thing i want to say is that I had seen True Dreams. What I means is I had dreamt some dreams which actually became true. I am not talkin about dream like I wanna be successful in life and so I work hard enough to get my dream. For example I dreamt that I was living at some place when I was in High school. When I woke up I said "that is impossible". But after 4 years I was actually doin the same things and living at the same place I had dreamt. Now that would seem like a figment of fiction but this is true. And this hasnt happened to me once. I can write a book upon this. Also I know there must be more people than just me who have this "Vision".

Now talkin about the point of reality - when i can see the things that are actually goin to happen in future, than how do we know how to follow a path, which is somewhat same to the cause of whole lot MATRIX. It seems that things are just goin to happen cause they have already been coded or whatever.

I know people think this to be silly, but craziness lies in the uniqueness and not in the craziness itself.

Ok... i belive in your words armedace, I had a cuple of that deams... i dont know what it means... but I never think too much in that... I dont think they are the key of the true, just... really...I dont know... but If you can study that freaks and tell me more about that... I will help you in anything I can.

Its quite interesting, really. Some people search this film up and down looking for meaning that might tie it into some real-world situation

or they think that it could be symbolic of something real.
Why not look at it in the literal sense? What if the matrix in its actual essence IS real? No symbolism. No metaphors. No hidden meaning.
Just what they said in the movie is what it is.

If you use the things that have been said above, it brings us back to the original question then. "What is the Matrix?". It may be a computer program designed to harness our bioelectricity, or it may be something else.....

The matrix... is real?... isn´t an symbolism?... ok then... somebody is awake?... or we are inevitable slaves, slaves of a true which we know, but we can change it... if nobody can awake and nobody is awake... we lose yet... and... if somebody is awake... why doesnt come here for help us, for awakes us... in the movie Neo just fell something strange, but he dont know what is the matrix, if we know (because the movie) what is the matrix, then it isn´t same than the movie, we know more... then... i dont think in the matrix like the movie shows... in that case the "agents" has censure the movie or the complete movie... THEN... I have to understand the movie like a symbolism of the matrix where we live.Bye

Well, this thought has crossed my mind. If it did exist as a program of massive proportions, why would the machines let a movie about it be made?
But What about DENIABILITY. :eek:
If you try to tell people "the matrix exists, we're all slaves!" the agents can point to the movie and say "you got that from the movie 'the matrix.' you're crazy."
Also, how do you know people arent freeing people today? Government coverups by agents in powerful places? What about missing people who are never ever found? what if they were unplugged?

I'm new to this forum, so...I'm just pouring all my theories into one thing. :)

About what you say: the machines arent stupid... yes I think the same. About the missed people I dont think they are awake... thats other think in what I was thinking... nobody of que parents of the awakes were searching for their?...
