" he fights for us ..."

has anyone seen the revolutions trailer in which morpheus says "he fights for us " while looking at something happening on the monitor screens on his ship ? He seems to speak the words with mystified suprise in his voice . anyone's guess as to what he's seeing on the screen ?

could possibly smith's role be evolving ? it felt as if he was speaking of him , as strange as it seemed . i haven't seen this mentioned . any ideas?

i heard this in another thread and i believed it.
smith takes over the matrix. not to hard to believe so far, right? well, neo assures the machines that he can stop smith in exchange for them not destroying zion, and keeping the ppl in the matrix happy. so, neo is fighting smith for morpheus. along with everyone else. "trinity....he fights for us....all of us."

of course the whole thing is guess work, but it satisfies me.

I always thought it had something to do with Neo. :)

yup, Morpheus believed that Neo was long gone, comatized.
and all off a sudden as everything appears to be going wrong, Neo is standing on the road with Smith (it ends tonight), the fight that comes is a beauty and is fighting for the sake of mankind and the Matrix

You've convinced me I always thought that he ment Seraph, but the theory sounds a lot more convincing.

I bet that one of the smiths might fight for us! Because he is now a rouge program, hates the matrix like he says in M1 so maybe he wants to kill the machines because no he's not connected.

Why would Smith change sides all of a sudden,
he hates The Matrix, but he hates humans even more. What he wants is a Matrix-free, human-free world, in which machines can live in peace in the Real World (power is another question, maybe nuclear fusion - nevermind).
Smiths wants to end it all, humans and Matrix.
Neo wants to end Smith.
So they both are fighting to end something...
it ends tonight (but what will end ????)

I always thought that he was talking about Neo, for some unknown reason that we will find out in Revolutions.

I don't think it is Smith that Morpheus is talking about. I just saw the part and it is from the scene at the end of the game "Enter the Matrix". I think that he is talking about Seraph because if you see clips from the trailer you see Seraph jump kicking a black bald guy that looks 99.9% like Morpheus and then later you see Seraph holding a pistol at an unknown person with about 6 others holding guns to his head. One thing that bugs me is when People put quotes in trailers that don't exist and when people can't identify people correctly.

I'm sorry, but you didn't identified people correctly this time. The bald guy Seraph's kicking is definetly not black so he can't be Morpheus

It's Seraph he's talking about, as in the trailer u see him shooting with Trinity and Morpheus, defending them, and fighting with them. Why would he be talkin about Neo? Neo already is fighting for the 'us'

I think Morpheus is talking about Neo. It's like when they where watching the burly brawl, Morpheus says: "Smith?..."

Just this time he's surprised to see Neo, maybe because he's still in coma.

Nah... watching the new tv spots through, i'm certain it's neo that morpheus is talking about.

Why would he say that, he alredy knows that Neo fights for them. He would just be stating the obvious!

in reloaded they don't pay much attention to kid, I even think Morpheus dislikes him. Remember when they leave from Zion and Kid shows up that he instantly wants to leave (we don't have time).
In Revolutions Popper will fight with our heros, and as we all know by now, Popper will play a hugh rol in revolutions.
Therefore it isn't that ridiculous to say that Morpheus might be surprised how Popper joins battle and even decides things one and another.
