The Dojong I'm learning from, is a two of a kind location in the United States.. Northern Indiana, and another location in Michigan.. but soon, I'll have the ability to lose weight whalst doing something I thoughly enjoy,
Way to go. This way u'll be able to put a nice show together in front of the theatre when Revolutions goes in premiere...
It might take longer to pronounce all those words rather than the actual moves though. ;)
If I can say, yours truly has been practising Aikido for about a year now. And yes, we do learn some of the blocking moves the One uses in the movies :).
Fantastic X. I hope you enjoy it as much as alot of pple doing different arts do. They can't wait for their next lesson.
I'm strictly a kickboxing woman myself, however we know alot of blocks too. Very handy indeed when the right person has it and doesn't abuse it. Unfortunately with some, they get a power trip with it. However, like any responsibility comes not abusing and using it on the weak, and for hot heads. You'll be great at it.

I really enjoy the martial arts training that we get in the Marine Corps. Its very heavy on joint manipulation, blood chokes, and basically making the quick kill.
Body hardening is my favorite aspect. Permanently killing the nerves in your body to lessen the effect of your enemies attack is such a wonderful strategy.
how do you permanently kill the nerves, and then to xehirut all the best of luck

Take the nerve running down the outside of your leg for example. If somebody puts their knee into it, u get 'dead leg'. well, if u let somebody kick u there over and over and over, the nerve gos numb, and doesnt come back. thus, being hit there has a far less effect than before. same principle is applied to nerves near the surface all over the body. these are commonly refered to as pressure points.
If u go for a pressure point on me, and I on u, but my nerve is dead and yours is not, who do u think will win?
Sorry to start a convo mods but,
You let i guy kick u in the leg repeatedly?
Is that the way you did it or is there some method.
yeah um...I'm not so sure i'd go along with being mutilated, sorry
There is a method. Two Marines face eachother, taking a fighting stance, and trade kicks. Then switch legs and repeat. Get to practice the kicks at the same time. Then we do arms....usually by punching and blocking depending on which nerve we are going for. Then chops to the neck. And so on. This continues until we get too tired to be effective, or somebody whos new to it drops from the pain. We do this three times a week in addition to our normal PT. After a while it just becomes striking practice, working on technique and power.
Pain is weakness leaving the body.
Woo...I know the American Marines knew alotta martial arts...this is good. I didn't know the Matrix moves were predominantly Korean-they looked chinese to me. I'm interested in fighting with the pole (Darth Maul, Sky) or katana (the MacLeods :D) but there's not much chance to learn that in real life...
It's actually fascinating to realize just how many pressure points we have on our body. When I had learned how many and where I was amazed to say the least.
Knowing the proper use of pressure points and meridians of chi are highly benificial to either bringing someone down and fast, all about blocking the blood flow successfully. It can do a variant of things, not only kill somtimes used correctly it can also heal.
Correct me please if I'm wrong Shinigami, but how you train is about dim-mak, joint locking, bleed rates.?
Yes, thats the most prevalent form. Joint manipulation and blood chokes. We learn to kill quickly, but we also have to know how to subdue. We are not always authorized to use deadly force.
So like, are you currently serving or what? And how many people have you killed in hand to hand combat.
in my town, a small suburbia, we use only one pressure point-the one at the back of the neck. When I want something from my little sis and she won't deliver, i squeeze that pressure point. my friend does it with a pen and I've felt it-she's pretty good. :D

Yes, I am currently serving. I returned from a tour in Iraq about two months ago. In my field I dont deal with prisoners of war or as a check point guard. That is the typical time that the use of hand to hand combat would be utilized. I have used some of the techniques durring interrogations. I dont endure the training because I am expecting to use it. I train because I enjoy it and because I may need it. Damned if Im not going to be ready should the need arise.
I think if you have to do it for yor job, then u need to be that way. i have some friens in the army and navy here and thry have to learn these things. it is there job and mum and i talked about them having to kil somtimes, and i think i would want my friends alive and not them if it cam to that.
mum ussed to spar with a friend all the time, but she had her rib broke so i look after her and then wen it is better mum will do it again.
View Full Version : Its started.
