Revolutions Trailer

EyeNOkungFU

Hopefully after you saw Reloaded, you stuck around when all the credits were over to see the Revolutions trailer? If not, a friendly reminder to all. For those who saw the trailer, what are your ideas and thoughts for the next movie. What did you gather from the trailer?

I gathered that I'm gonna go nuts waiting. Oh well, at least I have a copy of Reloaded to go over and disect a million times before then. Shame the quality is HORRID, but at least I saw it in the theatre the first time. :) In fact, I'll probably go see it in the theatre again this weekend. Then watch my DLed copy several more times, then theatre, and continue the cycle for as long as it's in the theatres. Anyone heard about an ETA on the DVD?

The Oracle...her voice was ther in the background deveral times, she is still there and a way bigger piece of the puzzle than many think...the good piece.

Smith...HE is the one who Neo will ultimately battle with...not the Centinals or the Architect...I think he may try to take over the Matrix himself...remember how many of him were lining the street during that scene?

Neo will display more "real world power..." a lot of it.

(And I still am not buying the Matrix inside the Matrix thing.)

I agree that Smith is going to be central to much of M3 as he becomes more infatuated with the thought of destroying Neo.

I disagree with the last poster that this isn't a matrix in matrix situation. I believe that when he entered the door he did, that he went into an imbedded matrix - hence his newfound 'realworld' perception of incoming enemies.

I think this idea is actually closer to "just never left the matrix" than to "matrix in a matrix". Either way, if he is in fact still in the matrix at the end of M2, I would lean toward it only happening after he went through the door. The idea that Zion was never real just seems to hokey, and he clearly said "something is different". This, along with his apparent newfound ability to feel and take out squiddies, suggests that he is not in the same world he's used to. Still gotta wonder why it knocked him out, though.

re: still in the matrix

I pondered this as well - and similarly wonder why this would make him pass out. That scene alone may be the reason I seek to see it again - where was this download? ;)

The one sticking point to this possibility in my head, however - was the very end of the movie. He is seen lying next to the real-worlder infected by Smith. But why would this be relevant if in fact he never left the matrix after seeing the Architect?

Thus far we are led to believe that Smith is now 'free' of the system the Architect represents and thus independently motivated. So why would his incarnation of self be showing up in some deception of the Architect?

Bring back from this the 'coma' he is seen in, and although when he uses his powers in the matrix, the matrix is not real so it does not exhaust him unnecessarily - in the real world we are left to assume that stopping the sentinels took a lot out of him.

K-lynn, I love your posts so much I want to drive out to Michigan and watch this movie with you and talk about it over dinner.

You free tomorrow night? :)

(just kidding, my wife would not appreciate it.. I am truthful about the insight of your posts though)
