The Source

I hope this thread makes sense.

What, exactly, is The Source?

The Architect says, "The function of 'The One' is now to return to The Source allowing a temporary dissemination of the code you carry, reinserting the prime program..."

This leads me to believe Neo had yet to reach The Source at that point. This means The Architect is not in The Source. So, what is it? Is it Zion? He did return to Zion after talking with The Architect. Is it The Matrix? In Revolutions trailers, we see Neo inside The Matrix. Is it the desert of the real? We also see Neo (in Revolutions trailers) on scorched Earth. Or is it Club Hell? Le Vrai?

The Oracle, in Enter The Matrix, says something along the lines of, "Neo has touched The Source, and his mind and body have seperated. He now lies trapped in a world between yours and mine."

Obviously, this leads me to believe Neo has touched The Source. Enter The Matrix took place during Reloaded, i believe. Specifically, the phase of the game where The Oracle said this, was taking place during the events shown in Reloaded.

So, what is The Source? We can cross off Club Hell, Le Vrai, The Architect, and scorched Earth. As near as i can tell, that leaves The Matrix and Zion. It has always been my first inclination that Zion is The Source.

Any thoughts? Is this post even worth responding to?

The Architect says that the door to Neo's right leads to the source and that the door to the left leads back to the Matrix and the destruction of Zion. If Neo has touched the source by entering the door to Neo's left, then the Architect was lying to Neo. However, this still does not answer the question of what the source is exactly. It must have been something in between leaving the Architect and stopping the sentinels.

I know this may sound out there, but I believe the source is Trinity's heart.

Well, the matrix is a system. Think of it as a giant computer with a really big OS (operating system) and the source is the file and folders with all the data on the computer for rebooting, starting up and such, running programs, the kernals, chache, bunch of really important stuff. Neo carries some essential code to the begining of a new matrix. He returns to the file folder and drops off the code and has to make a choice. one door leads to the salvation of zion and the begining of a new matrix, the other leads to the salvation of the human race (literally, the end of it is their salvation no longer being trapped in the matrix) and love.
