Will there be a Revolution?

TheRealOne

We all know the name of M3 is "Revolutions." Therefore, we assume there will be some sort of revolution(s). However, Andy Wachowski was quoted as saying, "[w]e think movies are fairly boring and predictable. We want to screw with audience's expectations." What better way to screw with the audience's expectations than to name the movie "Revolutions," and not have a revolution? In other words, what better way to screw with us than to have the AI win in the end?

Good. That's just what I want. Maybe not AI winning, but when they said they "want to screw with audience's expectations" .
I don't want a predictable end. Or a happy one. And I want a hero to die in a really spectacular way. I think I've said this somewhere before, but if you've read Nineteen Eighty-Four, that puts it best, how the ending you wanted, you got nothing like...

Neo will be a matyre.

You don't make someone so great without them going out a legend.

But if we want a memorable ending, that's probably what's needed. If it's dramatic and they have some good music behind it and everythings done right, it'll be ok.

For your information:

Vincent van Gogh wasn't famous during his life. He only sold one or two paintings while he was alive. Only a time after his dead he started to become famous.
So when he died he wasn't seen as a great man...

for your information,

theres a difference between famous and infamous.

and theres a difference between wanting to know it all and no wanting to know it all

As for neo being killed - when something so predictable it becomes unpredictable.

You want a suprise?

Neo takes over smiths mind and thats why morpheus says 'he fights for us'

Becuae its neo that controls smith and smith that controls neo!
Shinigami

Perhaps Neo will survive and the rest (Trin, Morph, etc.) will be killed. Leaving Neo, the "tragic hero", to carry on in relative solitude as the leader of Zion. Just dark enuff for most fans.

I dont really see the AI winning in this one. It wouldnt fit.

I can' t think of any way this trilogy can finish greatly, but I'm sure there is one and that the W bros thought of it.
And even if it'd be a dissapointing conclusion, I have no doubt in my mind that it will be at least as surprising as M2.
I have faith in them.
