Blaster Worm

have you been attacked by that mean motherf***in worm ?

i have managed to protect myself so far, but almost everyone i know that has a computer that is connected to the internet has been attacked..

use a program called FixBlast.exe if u have it.. it should help..

really?? Nothing really bad with this virus or whatever happened in Germany. For me, it was just that the media stampeded people - because of the fact that here nearly nothing happened.

well, here in Denmark it's everywhere .. use firewalls..

Then I feel sorry. Cannot understand why it happened there and not here...

I have a cable connection w/ an always running firewall, but u know what that virus did? it disabled my firewall then attacked! I spent 2 whole days trying to figure out how i was going to fix it, until i realized all i had to do was re-enable my firewall!

I have been inffected by this annoying virus.
All the people i know have been infectted by this virus too.
But it's very easy to delete the virus:
1.Download fixblast.exe from Symantec site, and run it.
2.If you have windows XP Download the security Patch, and run it.

He's right-regular windows updates are the only way out of that and similar predicaments-also install and update your anti-virus. My virus list has the virus recorded.

I updated my computer from Windows 2000 to Windows XP and now I have this ****ing worm:mad: - So it happened here too:D

The positive thing is that there are now many programs that fix it but probably at the time where you wrote this thread, there weren't...

Every time I connected to the Internet, my computer was shutting down, so it was very annoying. I've installed some patches and now I am in the Internet for about 20 minutes and nothing's happening. So I guess, it's fixed (hopefully:))

Ahm... I had it too, than I downloaded the WIndows update and it was gone o_o well, its on the microsoft homepage

yeah I've installed this. I hope it really works...:)

Just posting to say that when I start using Windows Xp this virus give me some bad time, but I´ve installed the fix and now no problem at all. BTW, I love The XP, it has some great tolls.

XP is way more stable than Me was, i've only managed to crash my b0x 10 times in a year and a half since getting XP Pro Corporate

i think it can only come thru costum firewalls cause ive got 2 of those and one of my own it came thru my customs but my own just logged and deleted it

i must say that its an anoying virus but i logged and destroyed victory was mine

I got rid of this worm. It's deleted - let's celebrate:D

its only stupid as long as you have Instant access... as soon as you start your computer it turns off again

man...that must suck, i got the update right away and i have norton corporate virus scan so i think i was protected from it
