Tri.ni.T Any one have any ideas as to who that guy is in Zion that was on his way to kill Neo in M2? I have my own thoughts but I'd like to hear yours. NeoRunner Well, I´m sure my friends of the forum will answer this question, that´s because I´m tired to read about it... is Smith on Neo´s body... Tri.ni.T I know it was Smith ON Neo's body. I also think it is Smith who took over that one guy's body in the beginning who is now stalking Neo in Zion. But the question becomes now... (if) it is Smith, why doesn't he reveal himself and just kicks Neo's and everyone else's ass being as how he seams to be immortal in a way? Neo didn't kill him in M1 so maybe he CAN'T die. P.S. Please don't take the capitalization of the word "on" & "can't" as yelling....I have no way to italicize words. keres imasu Maybe Smith can only control someones mind outside of the matrix and can't exist as a physical being only in someone elses mind jimmerb83 yeah but didnt you notice when he was cutting his hand? i think smith is in entire control and is learning the real world i.e. seeing what it's like to bleed. NeoRunner That´s right jimmerb83 Simple like that! Truth Right.....from the beginning......... 'Who is that guy in Zion on his way to kill Neo?' That would be Smith inside Bane's body. You saw Smith copy himself onto Bane after he'd jumped through a glass ceiling, and his friend had already used the phone to get back to his ship. Remember the line when Smith copies over him: 'Oh God...' 'Smith will suffice......' ? 'It's Smith on Neo's body' No it's not. As I said, it's Smith in Bane's body. (How could the movie continue if Smith had copied himself onto Neo?) 'If it is Smith, why doesn't he reveal himself?' There has been debate about this, but it's probably because as simply software in the matrix system, Smith has to be like a parasite on Bane. Without something concrete to exist on in the Real World, there would be no Smith. (Which is why he couldn't have just answered any rigning phone, and gone to Zion in his regular form, etc) So Smith can't reveal himself and completely take over Bane in Zion, he can only influence him from the inside. 'Seems to be immortal' He's not immortal- he's a program. He can't die, because he was never alive. But as I said above, he can't reveal himself in Zion, because outside of the system he doesn't exist. Think about it: he's just a program- if you take him out of the hardware- he's powerless, he's literally nothing. Keres imasu, and jimmerbe83, both have good points on this one. :) vibronic Yep. Smith controls Bane's body in Zion, and has basically overwritten Bane's mind (whatever that means) with his own. Smith now finds himself (or more accurately, "one of himselves") suddenly bound by the limitations of the real world - he is no longer immortal, and is now on a level playing field with the rest of Zion's inhabitants in terms of his physical capabilities. Indeed, Smith has tumbled down his own rabbit hole. He is definitely vulnerable and can be killed - I think him cutting himself multiple times is a sign of him coming to terms with this new sense of the terminal nature of "humanity". Smith-Bane is still in pursuit of Neo... he was the only survivor of the Sentinel attack... he was the person lying in a coma on the opposite table from Neo at the very last scene of M2. His presence in Zion is going to be a very significant part of the Revolutions storyline. NeoRunner Sorry Truth, I can´t believe I whote that, of course is Bane´s Body, I didn´t even saw that I whote that, I´ll edit later... Truth Okay NeoRunner, apologies accepted. But don't ever do it again! LOL :D keres imasu truth you basicaaly wrote what I meant only I didn't explain it to well. well done for explaining it. lol. agent gruffy i have a feelin that smith will eventualy become good and he will cross over to neo's side... think about it imagine smith and morpheous talking and thinking togather on the same side it could be very interesting and funny no? wizzpa neo has some form of precognition in his dreams he is like a novice like oracle.....when he saw smith take ova the body of one of the rebels in his dreams that was tru...smith didnt exactly transfer himself into him he jus copied himself n gave a lil part of himself into bane which over wrote banes mind....the reason y he didnt kik neos ass eva since is because he only got to the matrix not so long ago(i assume it was the same time neo woke up from the dream that he arrived) and the only chance he had to kill neo was that time when he wanted to 'cut em up' but as the rumours say he'll hav his chnace to kik neos ass. keres imasu Originally posted by wizzpa neo has some form of precognition in his dreams he is like a novice like oracle Neo can see into the future up till a choice he makes which he cannot understand. This is what the Oracle tells him. EtaPhase Originally posted by Tri.ni.T I know it was Smith ON Neo's body. As I said, it's Smith in Bane's body. (How could the movie continue if Smith had copied himself onto Neo?) NeoRunner first replied with it was Smith in Neo's body. I think the last person smith wants to help is neo. Think about it, why would smith try and destroy something that is the reason for his existance and the reason he STILL exists? Tri.ni.T Sorry to make you re-read all that but my answers/replies were added in as [i[part[/i] of the quote instead of replies. Tri.ni.T Originally posted by NeoRunner Well, I´m sure my friends of the forum will answer this question, that´s because I´m tired to read about it... is Smith on Neo´s body... Sorry I misquoted my quote. This reply still confuses me though. What does Smith being on Neo's body have to do with Bane? SullenGiRLaFa Originally posted by Tri.ni.T Sorry I misquoted my quote. This reply still confuses me though. What does Smith being on Neo's body have to do with Bane? Less of what it has to do with Bane...and more to do with what abilities Neo somehow transfered to Agent Smith/ Bane. jimmerb83 Bane was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, and was probably one of the weaker rebels, because smith could easily copy himself onto bane. vibronic Some of my thoughts... We know some part of Neo imprinted onto Smith at the end of M1 (when Neo destroys him). Smith tells us this in the burly brawl dialogue. I happen to think its "disobedience" that was imprinted from Neo onto Smith, which would explain why he didn't do what he was "supposed to do"... he was "compelled to stay, compelled to disobey." I also thought it was very interesting when Morpheus says "the reason why most of us (the rebels) are here if because of our affinity for disobedience" in the roundtable meeting in one of the first scenes of M2. Neo has always been described to us (through the plot and dialogue) as uncorruptable on nearly every level. I don't think the Smith/Neo imprinting event was any different. That is, I don't believe that anything was transferred from Smith to Neo - it was a one-way imprinting (Neo to Smith only). Tri.ni.T Good point. But if Neo is "uncorruptable on almost every level", then that leaves me thinking that there is a chance that he could be corrupted on that one remaining level. Follow? And as the catholic priests in the world has shown us, every man has a weakness or two. planet I was sure everything is clear to me about Smith and Bane, yet there are still some questions. The scene where Smith copied into Bane was shown us as Neo’s dream. But if it was his dream he know the truth, that Bane has Smith mind. I think Neo would do something about it. Instead he acts like he had no idea about Bane’s changed mind. It looks like the scene was not Neo’s dream. What do you think? Tri.ni.T I don't think he just woke up. You don't jump half way out of your skin like Neo did while just waking up. It is usually (but not always) a sense of falling or a bad dream / vision. I could guess that maybe he was having that dream of Trinity and not of Bane. Tri.ni.T That's what I'm saying. The movie only showed Neo dreaming of Trinity, no one else. So there is no way for Neo to know that Smith has copied himself onto Bane. Merovech Originally posted by jimmerb83 Bane was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, and was probably one of the weaker rebels, because smith could easily copy himself onto bane. I don't think it had anything to do with him being weaker. He was just caught by surprise and there was nobody around who could interrupt Smiths action Judge Originally posted by Merovech I don't think it had anything to do with him being weaker. He was just caught by surprise and there was nobody around who could interrupt Smiths action indeed, cuz smith also copied an agent, that doesnt mean the agent is weak :) jimmerb83 Originally posted by Tri.ni.T That's what I'm saying. I am such an idiot. im so sorry Tri.ni.T! Tri.ni.T That's ok, Jimmer. It worked well in this thread too. Tri.ni.T I agree with Judge. I think Bane was just suprised to be face to face with Smith. There is a lot to be said about the element of suprise. View Full Version : Who's that Guy? |
