Or just watch Reloaded. The machines killed the people on the ships that were sabotaged (probably by Bane - so their EMP's went off early and consequently knocked each other's power out).

They were saying that it was a slaughter when the squiddies broke into the main line, not into zion.

They thought the machines took out the ships (when the EMP went off) and then the machines just carried on past Zion?
