i've had my matrix reloaded bootleg for two days now and i gotta tell ya, i'm the happiest hardcore matrix fan anywhere. recorded in a movie theater up close with an aiwa 3 digicam, the sound and picture are much better than what some people have been able to down load from the net. of course it's not as good as the real (formatted and mastered) thing but it's not out yet and won't be for some time yet, so until then this is next best thing and i'm very happy. ---------------------------- p.s. ---i got my neo reloaded shades (not original & not reborn) and they rip --definitely 10 times more hip and sleek than any oakley, black fly or any other glasses i've seen . --------------------------------
I think that I have to tell you that must of us real hard core fans wait for the products to be made and then pay for them. This way the actors and the W brothers get the money they disereve.
i agree. ur not a hard core fan if u use bootleg. I hope a mod boots u off for this. i, like other REAL fans, am waiting till oct 1 (if my head doesn't explode w/ tension first) to see Matrix Reloaded on dvd, w/ the extras, commentaries, etc. that come with it. it'll be worth every dime.

I agree with you, but I wouldn't worry myself too much about if the W Bros. are getting the money they deserve. Believe me, THEY ARE!!1~
And I mean a LOT of money...

Not that this is any if my business, but, and I see these guys agree with me, using bootleg, especially for a movie you call yourself a fan of, is plain wrong.
Umm, I think if you are a real fan you try to get a bootleg, because being a fan means you really just have to keep watching it and can't wait for the release.
Okay, I accept that.
But I think you still have to buy it when it does come out. Otherwise you're plain stealing from the people causing you so much enjoyment.
I admit i own a bootleg copy, and have watched it numerous times. Are the Wach's loosing money because of it. No, mainly because i am planning on buying reloaded when it is released in stores, and prolly buying a trilogy set if one comes out. By watching the movie more and more, it is actually getting me more and more hooked on the matrix.

having a reloaded bootleg doesnt make you a hardcore fan...in my opinion i think it is more of an opposite of fan b/c the props dont go to the wachowski's to produce MORE matrix material http://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/cwm/cwm/cwm21.gif also bootleg copies are illegal
PK4788-i agree with you, i owe a bootleg copy and it only gets me even more hooked. i plan to buy the real copy the very moment it is relased!
the congress if going to sue...for thousands...have you ppl read/watched the news?

How can you be stealing money when you own a bootleg and:
1) paid to see the movie in the theatre
2) are going to buy the DVD when it's released.
You aren't stealing money from anyone, of course if you have the bootleg because you don't want to pay for a ticket or the DVD, then yeah, I agree, you are stealing. Otherwise I think it should be perfectly legal. I own The Matrix Revisited, but I still own a DivX copy of it too, just because I want to keep my DVD as scratch free and clean as I can ;).
you will fidn people who have bootlegs and dont buy the actuall dvd etc, prob wouldnt have bought it anyway. so there not really losing money.
i have a bootleg of reloaded. I also will buy the dvd. purley because i collect matrix stuff!

That's exactly what I meant.
So typical.
Have ypu ever heard of copyright laws?
No offence, but recording a film from the cinema is quite illigal...
but then again to the average free market capitalist, there is no such thing as the law.....
I don't believe anybody here is arguing that bootlegs are illegal. And yes, I have heard of copyright laws but if I had a bootleg copy and then bought it when it was released I wouldn't feel bad at all.

your stealing money b/c when ever time you view the bootleg version you should be paying like 7 dollars so thats like bootleg m2= -$7.00 for the Wachoski's

It's nice to have the film before it's out and I don't see 'any' reason why people shouldn't do so.

Yeah, that's right but you have to decide between the two types of using a bootleg. Some people get bootlegs and don't buy the DVD, ticket for cinema or whatever. But some people (like me) get bootlegs and ALSO buy tickets and the DVD. And if that's the case, I have no problems when people own a copy of the movie.

They aren't showing Reloaded in theatres over here anymore. Please tell me how I would pay to go see it at the cinema and how I'm stealing from the Wachowski brothers when I'm watching the bootleg this very minute. If they don't show it in theatres they aren't losing money on it when I watch a bootleg, simple as that.
Give me another means to go see it and I'll pay. Actually I already paid 4 times to see it in the theatre. Now that it's not running anymore, I'll watch my bootleg thank you very much. Just until the DVD comes out. Then I'll buy it, rip it to DivX and watch that instead (so I don't scratch the original too much). They call that the right to create a backup for personal use.

well it is still showing over here...
So what you're saying is I should go to another country and watch the movie there instead of watching my bootleg? Just buy a plane ticket, fly over the atlantic and go see Reloaded in the US for example? I think as soon as they stop showing the movie in a certain country, the wachowski brothers don't get anymore revenue from tickets sales (obviously). So people in that country watching a bootleg doesn't cost them a single penny.

And we all shouldn't forget that the Wachowskis have gotten enough money out of Reloaded.

I didn't mention anything about flying to a differnt country to watch a movie...all I said was that it was showing here still
I have seen 2 different versions of the bootleg, and have watched the movie probably 10 times now. I would NEVER go to the theater 10 times to watch a movie. Somewhat ironically, the fact that I have been able to watch the movie so many times at my leisure has increased my passion for the series more than ever.
I've seen it in the theater three times including once on IMAX. I love the movie and the series and everything that it offers.
I've bought more than one copy of the Matrix DVD, and I will buy Reloaded on DVD, and Revolutions on DVD... and if there is a collectors set for the trilogy in a year or so, yea, I will probably buy that too.
The fact of the matter (and the point I'm making) is this - anyone who is a real fan of the series (or any movie in general) will never be satisfied with a mediocre "telesync" version that they downloaded from the Internet or got from a friend.
I know for me personally, the only reason I watch the bootleg is to satisfy my Matrix cravings until the real DVD comes out in October.
:)
sorry guys and gals, but for legal reasons i'm forced to lock this thread.
illegal copies of M1, M2, M3 are NEVER supported by MatrixReloaded.com.
for reasons which are out of my control, i have to shut down
this thread.
