512Mb ram in each system, I think that's themost important part of the system..

All in a case that looks remotely like this:

Remotely because my case has a blue front ( the fronts are interchangeable.. :) )
hmm. those cases are interesting but I would imagine
that your system overheats quite a bit, especially when you
play games that requires a lot of resource use.
my primary is a p4 and i've got about 5 fans + and hd
fans to keep it cool. the case is huge too.
also, isn't expendability an issue on that particular unit?
one thing is for sure, it's nice to have a PC that small, i'd
probably stack em together lol.
alienware has a system just like that, with windows media
edition. it has a tv built into it and it comes with a remote.
looks like they used the same case (except black).
I built 8 computers for a customer of mine with those cases. Cute, I was impressed. If I remember correctly, my price was $180 USD, it was the case, motherboard, heatsink and fan.
Note that this item is watercooled, heating was not an issue. I threw AMD 1800+'s, I believe they only had 2 memory slots, and only 1 PCI spot. The customer wanted CDRW installed, so i literally had to take the case apart to get everything in.
Pretty cool all told. Actual size was about 12" wide, 10" high, 24 inches deep. If I wanted a carryaround system for simple langames, I would probably use this and drill a handle on the top.
Everything was onboard too, which is bitter/sweet. You know how that goes.

ahh sweet. if it's water cooled then it's a completely different
story. it'll stay cool no problem.
every time i see a computer with a case of that size
i think of the iCubes which died pretty fast and got so
hot you could fry eggs on em.
I am not familiar with those, but I can only imagine.
This customer wanted computers that would be nice for the next 2 years or so, and wanted value flat screens.
Great small workstation computers for an office. Last I talked to them, they were quite content.
About the water cooling, note that it was a low level water cool. Normal watercool uses pumps to circulate the water to the radiator. This system put the radiator at the top rear of the system, so hot water flowed up, passed thru the radiator, to where the fan was flowing cooler air past it.
Cheap water cool, but satisfactory.

Actually Luc, I've never had a single problem with over heating, I've got enough room for 1024 ram ( until they turn out 1024 ram chips that are the size of 512 chips .. ) and I've never ever had a problem taking it where I need to go. I also leave it on all the time.. but the over heating issue, I've never delt with.
I just got UT2003, and it runs smooth as butter. I figured I'd see how high I could push it before I started to lose frames. I turned everything up to high at 1600x1200 with only a loss of about 4 or 5 FPS. It still ran at about 50-60 FPS. After 45 minutes, I noticed that the game began to lock for a little (about 15 seconds) every 30 seconds to one minute. I rebooted the game, and noticed some colored flashing polygons on the NVIDIA logo that Gorge smashes. If I tried to run any other game, it either locked or there was tons of artifacting. I thought maybe there was a loop error, since the games I tried right after that just locked. Eventually, I checked my card's (GF4TI4600) temperature, and it was WAY overheated. I don't overclock or anything, and I didn't know that running a game that high could heat it that bad that quickly.
