ok, before i get started, let me give you guys a head's up:
I didn't choose the character that most people requested, mostly because that character, at the time this story is placed, really didn't have a reason to be in the Source's room.
The next post you will see is part two of my story, which i hope you will enjoy.
The Merovingian stood, surrounded by the grren matrix codes, which came from the Source, Gaia. Gaia looked annoyed, confused, and slightly afraid all at once.
"Why are you here? The program clearly has it so that only the one may enter," she thought spoke. "Zee program was over written, Gaia. Or perhaps you forgot doing zat?" the Merovingian answered, w/ his smug look. Gaia was disgusted by him. Mostly because SHE was the one who created him in the first place. "How could I over write that program? Unless i did it while I slept..." Gaia soon understood. "That basturd...."
She was referring the the Architecht. Gaia,even though she knew that she slept 24/7 in an ooze-filled pod, had to sleep every day. Since programs had to be created constantly, Gaia sort of went on auto pilot when she slept, allowing all requested programs to be created. The Architecht must have sent the over-writting program while Gaia had been sleeping.
"Why would the Architecht send you in here?" she thought spoke. "He wanted me to give you a message," the Merovingian replied. "Which is..?" Gaia asked. She wasn't sure to be annoyed or frightened.
The Merovingian said, "You are not following your program to run zee codes as best fits zee future of zee matrix." "Firstly, I am HUMAN, in case you've forgotten. I don't have a program," Gaia snapped. How dare he refer to her as a machine... "As much as you try to deny it, your flesh, your body belongs to the machines and your function in the matrix is that of a machine," the Merovingian replied in a cold tone. Gaia stiffened.
"How, exactly, am i disobeying...my...my function?" she asked. The Merovingian began to approach her as her answered, "You have been denying every request for trace program runs on rebels. Zee Architecht believes this is proof you favor zee rebels, threats to zee matrix."
"I have free will, i have a choice, i don't have to grant all program requests!" Gaia said as she took a step away from the Merovingian, who was so close to her, he was almost touching her soft skin. The Merovingian sighed. "If I had zee time i would argue that, but my time is short, and I must finish zee message."
He continued, "Zee Architecht gives you a choice: you can either be deleted, or you can have your memory re-written, and join zee rest of your kind." Gaia's eyes narrowed when the Merovingian said 'your kind'. "I will not be treated like a machine. I refuse to make a choice!" Gaia replied w/ a stubborn tone. "Zen you will be deleted automatically," the Merovingian replied. There was a pause in the conversation.
"It is your descion, Gaia. But I hope you choose life." He reached out and stoke Gaia's golden hair. "It would be a shame to waste such a perfect residual image..." Gaia pulled away and turned from the Merovingian. She held her arms, as if she were cold. The Merovingian began to leave, but before he left he said, "By zee way, you must have forgotten, zee one has not been discovered yet..." Gaia had forgotten. The one, as she recalled, would remain undiscovered for a few more months....
Hmmmmmm.........................so, in order to avoid being 'deleted', does that mean she will become an exile like the Keymaker? Or could she create a program to protect herself? Looking forward to part 3.............................;D

Nice story, Oracle2.0. If u had a drawer at ur disposition u could make a fine comic or sth. alike. Here's already one person who would buy the fluff... :D

this is great O2, interestig choice of character, and the hint at the end about the one was very clever, this is great cant wait til partIII!
