I always wondered about these guys. They seem like a really
smart bunch, especially when they work together.
Word on the street is that they're pretty quiet and don't
like answering questions about the trilogy. Wonder where
they got their inspiration and ideas from.
Just some ideas floating around in my head...
Luc L.
Any other movies they have made together?
Nothing I know of. But now that you've mentioned it I'll check it
out because I'd love to see everything else by them too.
I know this is a bit off-the-topic, but what other director's/writer's movies do you prefer? My favourite is absolutely Quentin Tarantino with Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs. :D
Pulp fiction is one of my favorite movies. I don't follow directors/
writers much but here is some other stuff I LOVE:
Boiler Room
Casino
Suckers
Snatch
Pulp Fiction
Boom! :D
Haven't seen Boiler Room or Suckers.
But Guy Ritchie with Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels totally blew my mind. Never expected they would be so good. And Casino also, whoa...
Yeah. They're all EXCELLENT movies.
Suckers is hard to come by, but it's one of the best salesman
movies I've ever seen. Only on VHS, but it's worth whipping
out the good old VCR for. I think you can pick it up at your
local Blockbuster. It's also extremely funny.
Boiler Room is cool, very hardcore sales concepts and not
as much humor as Suckers.
Oh yeah, there are two versions of Suckers, one is a Spanish
one that's got nothing to do with sales, the other is the one
that's funny as hell (and VERY well done).
Luc L.
Guy Ritchie is probably my favorite director. I loved Snatch and Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. And, of course, we can't forget the Wachowski brothers ;)
hmm... i have many favourite movies, but the main 3 which come to mind are Donnie Darko, Ghost World and Tank Girl. All 3 are the best freakin' movies in the world... Donnie Darko is just one big mind ****, while Ghost World is cool, and Tank Girl speaks for itself!
I loved Donnie Darko too, I want to grab the DVD and see the commentary on it. I'm afraid it will ruin what I think it all meant, but I know i'll break down and see it anyway.
yeah, i still don't know what i think of the movie:eek:
i'll just have to get it and watch it again... i hired it on dvd, but i don't think i watched the extra's?? *can't remember*
what's this thing about, i've never seen it?

It's really hard to explain what it's about without spoiling some parts. It's kind of a mind-**** movie that will have you confused what happened and why it happened.
hmmm... it's not really a movie that can be explained... all i could really say is that its about a guy... hehe, its just a movie you have to see :D
i'll get the dvd tomorrow. is it science fiction or some other stuff?
i guess it kinda is sci-fi... it doesn't really have a genre...
Also I like Ghost Dog - Way Of The Samurai a lot..

Is this a typo? Tank Girl? I've seen that and I didn't think many would have that movie in their top 3 list... :) Cute movie though.

Lol:D
Who's heard of Neon Genesis Evangelion here? mind-**** to the extreme. But it's nice to discuss too. Donnie Darko sounds interesting.
As for Wachowski brothers... One of their other movies is Bound. It's pretty deep as well. Though i haven't seen or read up about it at all yet...
They like answering questions (Seen the matrix website?) But haven't really answered many complex questions on there... time? i reckon they just don't want to spoil it :P
I'll have to check out Donnie Darko.
If you really want a great movie that makes ya think, check out Memento. I found this little gem a while back, and it has been added to my favorites list.
Coming back to the real world people, The Wachowski's are my heroes!

The brothers did 2 other movies I know of:
- Assassins

That last one is pretty good in my opinion.

Donnie Darko is way up there on my favorites list. I saw it about 4 times now. If you think alot about the matrix, then you'll really get your mind in a twist over that movie.
View Full Version : Wachowski brothers, geniuses?
User Count Quessing Thread - Pretty neat Matrix sunglasses.
