the one theory

since all the ones from the previous matrixs returned to the source to reboot the matrix...that means they are alive...so y is it that neo came to be the saviour wen there wer 5 other ones to do the job????are all the previous ones in zion?????help me out there

The question was as hard as the answer is... we can asume at the time Neo was at the source... he was alone, but you can look at all the screens around him... what do you see?!

There is only 1 Neo in the Zion where Neo is...

I agree, Neo is the only "One" in Zion now. Given the time it would take to rebuild Zion up to 250,000, I would think no human could survive that long. Plus, Morpheus said in M1 "After he (the One) died, the Oracle prophecized his return.....)

The previous ones died 'long' ago, since it takes pretty long to rebuild Zion, they died of old age and pieceful in Zion. So the current the One (Neo) is the only one alive at the moment.

I tottaly agree but then why would every one be so worried about finding Neo i mean afterall if it is his destiny then it would have happened anyway right? so why would morpheous try to find Neo cuz it still would`ve happened either way

hmmmmm.....don't you think if everybody said "It'll happen anyway, don't worry about it." then it wouldn't happen? I mean he can't unplug himself so somebody has to look for him

I wonder if it's possible for Neo to DIE anyway....since he can:

A. Dodge Bullets
B. Stop the bullets altogether
C. come back to life after 10 bullet shots from agent Smith's gun
D. Had a miracle happen when Tank gets up and FRIES chyphor...*Excuse my spelling...I think I'm going to fall asleep at this computer like Neo....* Hopefully the same thing that happened to him DOESN'T happen to ME....:) *Actually...that would be kinda cool....:) )

I think that the human mind is uncapable of understanding what is called faith... I mean... The Machines have programmed that the so called 'One' HAS to return to the source to reboot the Matrix... it's as simple as that... but would Neo find Morpheus first or the other way around... I think that Morpheus being so stubbern is also included within the same faith... Morpheus will NOT stop searching... I think faith (faith = pre-programmed by the machines) brought Morpheus to Neo and maybe the other way around... becuz the matrix HAS to be rebooted to start the process all over again...

iight i agree that the ones died of old age n ****...oops xcuse ma grammer..lol....but if that is so...and assumin that the oracles bodyguard is the one bcoz wen neo looked at him he wasnt represented in numbers like all the other machines but GLOWED i assume that her body guard was the one from the previous matrixs and he looks healthy and young....

I find it hard to believe that the bodyguard from the oracle is another 'the One' ... do you have arguments for that besides the glow around him?!

because of misunderstanding. morpheus thinks the previous 'one' 'saved' humans. but the fact is the previous only took 23 individuals in order to rebuild the zion.

why finding him ?becouse oracle told them to do so. they're desperate humans and they think if this messiah could set them'free' so why not ?

Okay, that's a good one... but say that the previous 'Ones' had the two choices Neo has... but when he is in the room... why not kick the architects ass? ...okay... that's not an option...

but come on, he is there to make a choice... to follow destiny... but what is the destiny of THIS 'one' ? I mean... it does'nt matter what he chooses cuz he always follows destiny... so every time it ends with a bad ending... is'nt Neo able to alter and choose a way of himself?... becuz when he makes an end to the circle , everyone wakes up right??? Or does all life-support fail and everybody dies? God... I'm gettin' a headegg

i dont really have another arguement...but if u think about it why was the guy glowin???i think thats the only possible expalnation for that...and u know he tested neo before lettin him see the oracle..neo couldnt even hit him thats how good he was....and who can be betta(am not sayin he is)...but how can he be betta than neo and if not even betta how can he be AS GOOD..there is no one as good as neo in the matrix or in zion but like i said earlier NEO CUDNT HIT him!!!and that has neva happened...what other explanation is there???who is choi??a program that is as skilled as neo???or is he a neo from the past matrixs....thats all i gotta say...

I'm new here so apologies if this question has been covered by previous threads, it is related to what happened to previous ONE's after they reloaded the matrix...

If the previous ONE's who chose to reload the matrix already had all of the powers we saw Neo demonstrate why did they not use them to re-enter and change the new matrix in favour of humans before they died?. (maybe get rid of agents of something). Neo is apparently only in his 30's in M2 so he would have had a few years of real life to achieve this should he have chosen the other door.

the previous ones didnt exactly have all the powerrs of neo...i assume they had most of his powerrs but they wer not like him in ne way..power wise that iz....they did fight well maybe even dodged bullets...but they did not fly or stop bullets because in m2 when neo stopped the bullets the merovingian was surprised and as he stated before he had met al the other previous 'ones'..so if the other ones did stop bllets i doubt he'd be surprised....he was also suprised wen neo killed all his body guards

OK, that's a good point. But even if they were not as good as Neo they must have been good enough to have got through to the source which I'm assuming was also pretty difficult in previous matrix incarnations?

I figure that even with powers equivalent to Morpheus a previous One could have done a lot in lets say 20 to 30 years of his remaining life in a previous Matrix. It's been suggested that the prophecy is passed on via the previous One in each reloaded matrix. But I don't see any evidence of the effects a Neo like character would have left in M1 when the film starts - the agents don't seem to have met anyone like that before for example.

I don't have a theory about this, I just find it strange - one bit of the story that doesn't seem to tie up very well...
