I don't think that that phone call Neo makes is at the end of Revolutions and not the Matrix.Remember when Tank,Neo & Trinity made it back to the hover craft and they debated killing Morpheius so that the Agents couldn't sweat the codes out of Morpheius to the Zion mainframe.I believe that phone call at the end of M1 is chronologically correct.What I think happened is that between The Matrix and Reloaded is that the Higher members of the resistance found out that somehow the Matrix located Zion either through outside or inside info and they had begun tunneling somewhere 4 miles directly over Zion ( watch the 1st of the 9 segments of the Animatrix) and Zion was now on a time schedule to flip things around and regain control over the Matrix.
I hope you know that this topic has already been posted in a different section of this site. And by the way next time maybe you should post this in the spoiler forum (the oracle's apartment) so people who want to be surprised will not run in to this if it is true.
in the "beyond" animatrix, there is a call like neo's at the end. the date is, not sure about the month and day but : 10/10/02. soo, the matrix is still up and running three years after that call at the end of m1. agents are still there, three years later, and the machines still control the matrix, three years later. at the end of revolutions, i dont think it would be three years from that phone call, so this date ####s everything up. mistake maybe.
yeah icedrops i made that point ages ago but someone said with Animatrix not completely tied into the Matrix that bit of info could be wrong...

I hope that isn't the ending. I want to see a massive shock at the end, like everyone inside the Matrix falling over and dying, and the film stays with it for a few seconds, and then rolls the credits or something. I don't want a happy ending, either (as you might have guessed).

Maybe not that ending, but I just want something different to the ending of the first Matrix. I've seen that a million times now, and I want a different ending. I can think of a more dumb ending: Smith beats Neo up and chops his hand off and then says "I am your father".

revolutions, although the wachowski's promised an ending, wont have an ending. it will have a resolution but not an ending. how could they answer everything in 2 h 30min ? they'll give you some closure, but the story wont actually end at the end of m3. simply a resolution to the problems.
As I read through several persons ideas as to how Revolutions will end, I liked
ic3dropz opinions the most. However, what if it doesn't end with Revolutions. It wouldn't be the 1st time someone threw a well planned out curveball at an unsuspecting audience. Lucus did it , even though it was ass-backwards.I'm not necessesarily looking for a touchy-feely happy ending; I think there's alot of pain and death on it's way. But as long as the plot holds together and makes some type of warped sense to keep it going until a 4th,5th etc episode until the series comes to a final close,I'm not going anywhere soon
