Avatar as buddy icon

Hey i just joined (as you can see) but whenever i try to save one of your moving avatars to my computer and then add it as my buddy icon it says it's to big or it will post it but without the clip just as the picture of the begining of the clip. can somebody help me out with an buddy icon of neo kicking some ass or whatever? anythings fine? thanks.

no not that, i mean can you use like some of those clips from matrix reloaded as my buddy icon on Instant messenger? anybody know?

I'm not sure what size buddy icons have to be, but I have a 50x50 of neo.

Most avatar makers would resize one for you if you ask them nice enough. If you find out what size you need, you can browse what I have here (home.alltel.net/b4483) tell me and I'll resize if for you.

Choi, if you could and have a little free time on your hands could you please resize some of those MTV Matrix spoof avatars in to Buddy Icon size. Especially the one with Will Ferrell turning around in the chair.

Thanks for the effort there buns, but it still says its larger than the allowed 7168 bytes.

Ah right, I doubt you could get most animated avatars down to 7kb.

I can rip a frame from any of them though if you'd like?

What about one like Choi made up above? That works on AIM with no problem.

No, the one above did not work. I had to cut it down to a choppy 7 frames and an ugly 15 colors to get the file size low enough. It's too much effort to get it too look decent, I don't think I'd do another buddy icon. Also I think AOL is made for complete idiots who should touch a computer with a 50 ft pole :D snoogans, no offence.


Honestly back in my IM days I had contact on all major IM accounts. Though once I found Trillian the heavens and the earth seamed to be in order, I did find ICQ to be far superior to AIM, MSN, and Yahoo.

Maybe just a screenshot of Ferrell then in the chair. UGh..dissapointment is setting in.
