Hear thw word of the great mother called, Artemis, Ishtar, Diana, Aphrodite, Selen, Cerridwen, Bridgid, Arianrhod, Miriame and by many other names:

In Greece the young sacrificed at my altars- yet i demand nothing in sacrifice- for i am the mother of all things livings-my love pours out upon the earth- gracious. I give joy in this life- peace after death- rebirth among those you love- I open the secret door of youth- I offer the cup of living wine- I stir the cauldron of white fire, the grail- I am whirling without motion- in me shines the mighty ones-the lords of the tower- who were once as yo are now - who have risen though the spiral- of life and death and rebirth- who have broken free, to live forever-in the ecstasy of my reign- as you may who worship me- everytime the moon is full gather in some secret place- in my honoryou shall dine- on cresent cakes and honey wine-feast make music, dance and sing- and i will teach you everything- for i am the queen of all the magies- you shall be free of all opression- to show you are truly free- you shall be naked in your rites- both man and woman untill the last opressioner is freed.

Hear The words of the start queen the lady of the spiral universe, the ground of all creation:
Iam the earth, the grass, and the trees- Iam the sun, moon, and fire- Iam the goal of all desire- by love alone i may be known- love is the only law i know- all things live and are my own- for me, they come and they go-Iam the goal of all desire- if you try you win me- you must seek in side yourself-else you'll you never find me- seek me inward, seek me deep- conjure me song and ryme- when i blaze out though your eyes- know i was with yo all the time- worship me with a joyfull heart- and i will join you in the night- Celebrate me: for all acts of love and pleasure are rites- you must keep my secrets- for they cannot be givin away- help your brothers and sister in crafts- and i wil always give you aid- whatever you call upon me for.

1. The top point of the pentagram represent spirit-- it represents etheral , the everlasting and immanance or the goddess. It represents our souls.; it represents the part of us that deticates us to witch craft; and deticated to spiritual connection to the earth and eachother. It sybolizes spiritual love.

2.The top left point of the of the pentagram represents earth. Earth is the mother element, it is the element the represents rootedness. It sybolizes groth, security, and nourishmeant all of the things mother earth provides us.
The elements is what offers us to explore the spirit, because it gives grounding. Without earth we would always have our heads in the clouds, Earth is represented by coins/pentacles.

3. The top right of the pertagram represent air. Air is the Element of mind. it repressents in tuition, intelligence, rationale. It is the element that allows us to examine spirit and discover where it fits in our lives. Without the element of Air the elemnt of earth would be of little use, though we are grounded on earth we are allowed to reason out our spirits with air. Air is represented bye wands/staffs

4-5. The rest of the points of the pentagram represent human expireance, our lives as being purly profone creatures, made of body and mind material. The entire Pentagram Has been said represents the human-- The top point as the head and the bottom as the body. In sense this is true.

Because witches honor nature, they have eight festivals, or Sabbats.

Samhain-happens near Halloween and is when the Wiccan year begins.

Yule-or winter solstice happens near December 21, which is the longest darkest night of the year.

Brigid or Candlemas-February 2, is the festival of the Goddess Brigid, patron of poetry, healing.

Spring Equinox- happens about March 21, and I pass from one time into the other, yet am between one time and another.

Beltane or May-Day- is a celebration of love. And we're talking Pagan now! Love -- moon rhymes with June, so the universe gets created

Summer Solstice- happens about June 21. All things move in spirals, and I watch the year move in a spiral, right now spiraling up to the sun's climax. I celebrate summer and the heat of the Gods.

Lammas is August 1-Now the Corn King dies as his body is harvested from the fields so that I may be fed, so that I may live, so that I may go into the winter months of darkness rich with his blood and love in my veins.

Fall Equinox-happens near or on September 21.Today, the length of night time is equal to the length of daytime.

So basically it is something you have to practise before you can claim Wicca to be your religion. I started study at the tender age of 4 before my mother stopped becoming wiccan and embrassed another faith. Valid lifestyle choice for her, however I stayed true to the Wicca ever since.

Hope I could be some help.

Love to all UT

Oh I have to add so people aren't too confused with this (because I had stated on a thread to diabolicks' post that I was pracitsing Irish Catholic and indended to go back to church). That was a wind up for he was an extremly insulting little person who got up my skirt. And yes I do believe in a higher power, however, for me to lable him with a name I cannot. I feel that was done by mankind.

May the powers of the one, the source of all creation, all-pervosive, omnipotent and eternal, Goddess lady of the moon and God horned Hunter of the sun, may the powers of the spirits of the stone, rulers of the elemental realms, may the powers of the stars above and the earth below bless this place and thistime and who i am with you.

Pagan Gods are great fun to read about.Which ones do you honor ?

I can honestly say I was surprised to find this thread here. But good enough! I'm not a traditional Wiccan, but I do believe and honor the basic tennets. Some interesting stuff was posted here.

I'm Italian and Native American, so I have wandered on the Medicine Wheel, but I have also learned much of the ways of the Strega.

Personally, I don't feel that the Gods can be named. For me that defeats the whole purpose of them being all-knowing and all-encompassing. The names are merely representative of the different attributes of those Gods and Goddesses.

I would love to hear from anyone that is seriously interested in this subject. I live in a small, rural area and needless to say that the majority of the people here are Christian. Nothing wrong with that, it's just that the theological debates get old in a hurry.

Merry meet, merry part, merry may we meet again!

I did some research into the "evil" ways of Wicca. Never got the 3x effect back though.. me lucky bastard :D

Anyway, maybe you just have to believe in it (which I honestly don't) The religion is very well thought of, but I still don't but it.

I also don't believe christianity has anything to do with masses but more with education. And, even if you do not want to admit it, wicca is partially based on christianity.

Wicca, the modern form of ancient Celtic worship, is indeed based on Christianity. It is a combination of many different faiths. But, Christianity is based in part on the ancient pagan belief systems.

It's not coincidence that Yule and Christmas are so close together. Or Samhain and Halloween/All Saint's Day. There are too many similarities to be pure coincidence.

As for the "evil" ways of Wicca, there is neither a belief in ultimate good or ultimate evil. All being possess both, so there can never be one over the other. At times one weighs heavier than the other, but that cannot be helped.

And for the record, I just want to let anyone know, I'm not Wiccan, I'm actually agnostic. I did spend five years studying the Craft, but I could not accept it. Hope no one gets upset. I do think there are a number of valuable concepts, but religion in any form just bothers me.
