The Harry Potter series is THE BEST BOOKS EVER!! The Matrix and The Matrix Reloaded are by far the best movies, but I'm sorry, Harry Potter is the sh*t. Do not insult Harry Potter....
SullenGiRLaFa

the one who jumped off a window thinking HP was real. HP is ok cept there are a ton of run ons and sometimes the grammers weird like the british version
toymachine970

man you think HP runs on alot?!? you should read L.O.T.R- the fellowship of the ring...the author will go on for two whole pages about a tree! i think HP sucks and L.O.T.R is a much better movie than it
SullenGiRLaFa

Is Harry Potter the One?

He starts he life in a world that is full of muggles. Muggles are an excellent analogy for those who are still plugged in.

Then, he realizes that there is a whole new world of which he knows nothing - the Magical World.

Voldemore is the Smith of the Potter books. The Death Eaters are his agents.

Dumbledore is the Oracle.

The Order of the Phoenix are the Zion inhabitants.

The analogies aren't perfect, but they are close.

It is interesting that in the first book, the first "magic" he performs is to make a glass wall disappear. A glass wall is a wall that is there, but you can't see it. Also, he didn't need a wand to do the magic. Heck, he didnt' even need a spell. This is pretty similar to Neo's ability to change the Matrix at will rather than according to the rules of programs (i.e. spells).

Even when Potter gets to Hogwarts, it isn't all fun, games and bliss. It is hard work and he still has enemies. This is similar to the idea that life is the Matrix is hard, but life in Zion is even harder.

The Potter books draw on the same ideas and mythos that the Matrx does.

Free your mind, read the books and have some fun.

You know, we could spend all day on this, G.A.

Indiana Jones is The One, The Ark of The Covenant is The Keymaker, the Nazis are agents, that other archaeologist who worked for the Nazis is The Merovingian, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

Somebody else in here proposed The Matrix = Star Wars, so I can't claim that one is mine.

Who's next?
toymachine970
