animatrix is, honestly, better than the film

hello, thats what i think, and i want to say: isnt it beautiful if in the future, we receive 9 animes pro year? i think its more easy than making films, ant the effects are more astonishing.

i didnt get to see the matriculated episode yet, but i liked all the other ones. the world record is my favorite. i just liked that idea that someone can push themselves that hard, to a point where even the matrix couldnt hold him back anymore from waking up.

the Animatrix does indeed rock, but i would have to disagree on it being better than the movies. It is simply there to fill in gaps, give a little background to a few things which makes the storyline all the more fantastic. If there were no movies... there'd be no Animatrix. :)

They could make comic books about it the matrix. Then it would fill many gaps in the matrix universe.

But its true, the effects are much more astonishing in anime, and cheaper as well.

I liked the movie more on a grander scale. But i wouldn't mind seeing more episodes of animatrix being developed to watch episodes on a daily basis. (HAHA)

Exactly! The Animatrix could not stand alone, the movies could.

i personally liked the animatrix better than reloaded. i dont noe what effects were in the stories. some slow motion here and there but thats it. i loved the stories to all of them. especially the 2nd renenescainceee part 1 and 2. does anyone noe why its called the 2nd renenescainceee and not just the renenescainceee?

Nah, Animatrix is a nice bonus, but Reloaded itself was way better.

The first Rennaissance was in like the 1700s (<?). It was a time period of so called "enlightenment" when people began to invent new things and create new ideas . They began to tolerate some races and separate some races. I think the 2nd Rennaissance was named as it was because of the two highlighted segments. The robots wanted to be accepted as equals, which was a new idea. And the humans wanted to keep them separate and you know how it goes . . .

does anyone have any other ideas why they may have chosen that name?

I don't think so at all. It's very different, but the graphics of the movie were in mi opinio much more astonishing.

I wished they used bullet time during Neo and Smiths fight some of it could of been better but oh well, IT ROCKED! Yes Animatrix is good but the movies are better!

the animatrix was interesting. i was never ever bored while watching it. the stories caught my attention. i was bored quite a bit in reloaded. despite the lack of action and effects in the animatrix, it is, honestly, better than the film.

I Disagree!

the movies are alot better, although the animatrix was really good. the second renesance and last flight of the osiruous were master pieces and the only two relevant to the story.

i think about the animatrix every know and then... i keep thinking what happen what happen to that kid in the haunted building when those ppl came to evacuate the building b/c only 2 kids came out and the girl w/ her cat i believe...it drives me nuts!

Thats the best part of the animatrix and the rest of the matrix in general, they keep you thinking. I have a feeling that Revolutions will open more windows of thought than it will close . . . no closure, I hate it.

the animatrix had nothing wrong with them. they filled up some plot holes and had some little sketches which gave some insite to the world of the matrix. that was all they were meant to do.

it was never meant to have a full plot line... its just when i rented it from blockbuster i expected some plot of the sort

the animatrix sucked, even for anime, and I was completely unimpressed with any of the animation outside of the cgi one.

it was a gimick to make money, just like the crappy video game that came out. besides the cgi one, it doesn't fill in any gaps, it's just a bunch of crappy anime that has a matrix backround story and then decides to just do whatever BS things it wants to.

I wasn't exactly impressed with the visuals myself, Terikan. The CGI one was okay...they were too short and to sum up the animatrix for anyone who hasnt seen it: "I think its a waste of life." The plot hole drive me nuts and even my SIX YEAR OLD brother wasnt satisfied with it. He think its a bunch of crap and a waste of time.

the only part i really liked in reloaded was the action scenes. the talking was alright, after the oracle, but the talking pretty much sucked.

the story makes the movie, animatrix had a really good story. nine good stories actually. i was never bored during the animatrix, which i cant say about reloaded. its a matter of opinion, but action scenes can only do so much for a movie. it all comes down to the story for me.

I've been reading some of your mezages and can I just say that your all crazy!!!! Evry1 is complaning that ther isnt enuf action in the 2nd movie! There isnt suposed to b that much action! The whole idea of the second movie is 2 brij da gap btween the 1st and 3rd movie! There r lots of action scenes in this 1 anyway! Also I saw a few scenes from the 3rd movie and all I can say is- :O u want action, u got action. But I digress. Anyway the film is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better dan da animatrix. Animatrix was gr8 an cleared sum junk up 4 me but that was all it was sposed 2 do. Help u understand and give u a little more of the matrix world. well..the only part of animatrix that I really like was the final flight. It's the only one that's actually real anime. The rest's graphics are so ugly. How can I ever live without the real movies! How dare u even suggest such a thing!

the same style for matriculated or w/e the last one was... was made by the same guy who designed for Rugrats, I didn't like the graphics much i found them to be too sketchy...the Rugrats graphics are just as bad lol...well not AS bad

Umm.. The animtarix did explain some question that people had about the Matrix. But I thought that the Story's should've have more Neo and Trinity in it, they didn't even have Morpheus. Aren't those characters the main characters in the Matrix? The Animatrix should've had more stories about the Matrix, and it could be longer too! But the Animatrix has some qualities that the Matrix doesn't have like the explaination of how the machines got to take over the world and are wanting the drill down to Zion. Though the Matrix has more of a plot and creates more questions in the watchers mind which probably made us log on to this web site!

I simply disagree. Animatrix IS a stand - aloner, M1 IS a stand - aloner, M2 surely isn't.

I dont really think you can say the Animatrix or the Matrix or Reloaded is better than any of the other matrix films, but that is just my opinion. I know many people did not like reloaded but I thought it was awsome.

I've found all the animatrix and matrix reloaded episodes disturbing. They create almost a perfect explanation to our "why are we here? and what's it's all about?" questions in life, but by the same token leave intolerable holes that need to be filled. The closer you get to getting satisfied, the further you get from being satisfied.

It is quite addictive.

the final flight was the only one that wasnt anime. anime means animated (with the certain characteristics that make it
anime). final flight was computer generated. computer generation IS a type of animation, but not anime.

and potis made a really good point. with seeing M1, animatrix is a stand aloner. M2 isnt a stand aloner no matter what.

Yes, while many people found it distrubing i found it exciting and interesting... mabye that means im just disturbed. i dont understand what people find so disturbing in todays society, 500 yeards ago they burned people at the stake and used cruel methods of torture (pit and pendullum, sulfuric gas, closing walls, there was one where they stuck the prisoner in a little cage and just forgot about them, o and they forced prisoners to eat human feces.) not fun

i really agree with this opinion beceause the animatrix was only made because the scenes would be to boring in real life, i mean it was there so we know how it all happened , also a time saver thou because to show what they did they'd need anothermovie to throw it all in...but i liked the first scene looked the most real..

if you have not seen the matrix movies then you definetly will not understand whats going in the animatrix films

i thought the anime whas very good. exept the drawings of world record, man that whas some ugly piece of **** work.

to Morpheus_maniac. yes neo trinity and morpheus are shown in the animatrix. in the movie Kids story (at the end)

and trinity apears also in Dectective story.

well i think the animatrix should be very exciting but the problem is that i have not seen it yet, but if u have u can telll me the details.

I liked The Animatrix, but World Record was really dumb... Especially at the end how he drops his walnuts and gets out of his chair and falls... It's dumb.
