Who other than me has had a dream of the "real world"?

I had a dream
a dream that comes to me every once in a while and is weird.
a dream that is about the real world.



if anyone has an idea about what it means or has had a similar dream, please reply.

i'm not gonna say that i've had dreams like that or i havent and think ur crazy. all i'll say is that you never know, anything is possible.

Can't you feel it? Like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad? There is something wrong with the world. You can't explain it, but you know it's there.

How is it, if we evolved from the cell up, that everyone, everywhere is under the impression that there is something more, that there is something better? Listen to the Creed song "Higher." Its about a man who dreams of a better world while he is asleep and is dissappointed to return to this world. I have had that dream.

I don't think the Matrix is real. I think that the truth that there is some serious bad news we are not facing and that things are supposed to be different than this . . . better. We aren't supposed to die. Like "The Matrix," the speed of and power of thought are supposed to matter, not physical circumstances. I have dreamed of that world.

I think you guys have abused the "free your mind" saying quite enough.

There is being open to possibilities, and then there is being total idiots, unable to deal with the reality as presented to you, so you latch onto something else that is more preferable.

If you truly believe this kid had a dream about the "real world" then you have set your mind free long ago and it's currently living with substance abusing hippies.

Be open to the possibilities, but don't invent them :)

whats the matter with having a dream about something. are you saying that you dont have dreams that feel real sometimes. i'm pretty sure that the majority of the population feel like they are in a "real world" when they're dreaming, why shouldnt this kid be any different. now i'm not saying that the kid is right in the head for having a dream like that, but what your saying is that its impossible for anyone to have a dream about another real world. free will gives us the opportunity to do this and to even right about it on a forum for others to discuss. so go back and read my last post to you and try to understand it this time for your own sake so you dont sound like the idiot.

relax guys lt_damage has his points. sure he's true and his facts are completely correct but he doesn't truly mean any unique concept is wrong...i myself believe the kid may be taking his dream a little seriously. it isn't important since he and everyone else is entitled to his own view-but some got unconsciously offensive wif the term "free your mind"...when such a topic comes out where to side either one view won't truly be right or wrong its intrusive to say "free your mind" to those who dun take your stand because you're accusing them of being close-minded after they have clearly thought things true and made their stand.

Ok, that is one thing I hate, closed minded individuals. People who only see black & white, r closed minded, there r gray areas too. People who join this forum has to understand, that this place is for discussions of the movie, our thoughts, n our beliefs. U cannot shoot someone else down just because u do not agree with them, that is being very immature. U discuss it with person to see that persons views, u have to be open, just cause u do not agree with it doesn't mean they r wrong. Being in here u have to show respect because if not somebody will report u to a moderator, for not respecting other people. I start out on the surface of the real world.

I am walking around and surveying the damage done to everything sort of like a Jesus or something.

Suddenly I wake up while inside the dream and I am in my house, standing inside the kitchen sink like a ghost.

And from there I fly out of the sink and above the house and zoom over to New York City.

While flying, I hear a voice in my head saying "the time is now to wake up from the dream" and then I wake up and not in my dream.

I had many lights in my life, when I was young and now too, and I know thats some thing that have no explanation... Some times I can see the things as "slow-motion", but can't control it, it's only in extreme situations that it happens... I could feel some times peoples that is far away from me, and could hear what they was talking about. I know sometimes when, for example, I will win a price in front of many peoples, I saw it in a minimum of 3 times ago. I can feel some power that is around us, and reprotuct it in me stronger... Some ones will thing I may crazy... But it's the true.

i can't say i have dreams like this but i've heard of it. sorry to put you down but most of the times dreams reflect what's within not without. your dream of flying beginning from wastelands and the restrictions of your home's kitchen is most probably hinting at some inner desire to be "free" of something...i'm not saying there isn't a possibility of some "matrix"...but maybe stress from anything else? your family perhaps?
and about deja vu:i have many circumstances where not jus a place feels familiar-its an exact time of day, mood, sounds i hear...the exact phrase by an exact person i've heard in some dream or other hitting me jus for that one second. i've been hit so hard by the feeling i reeled...so yeah i'm not saying anything negative at all...it was good of you to bring up yer dreams. anyone out there wif more?

i honestly cant say i have dreams about anything related to the matrix. i wish i could so that i can see how i will respond to it. anyone who does should feel lucky in my opinion

well i have to partialy agree with you..it depends what they are dreaming about...if its about fighting along side with neo and trinty or being in neos spot and doing trinity...i will have to say they are verrrryy lucky...but if you are having dreams about you cracking the matrix or living in the real world as a bum or something...then i think you need help

I find it kind of disgusting that in this world we live in most people dream the way they have been told too....

I suspect belief itself is an illusion but people are quite happy to kill each other over it (religon / land / money / power)....

U can understand that dreams in alot of ways but everyway it's about u, I may be wrong but here is how I analyzed it. When u were walking around, u were seeing what wrong choices u took in ur life, ur mistakes that has been greatly impacted in ur life. Now, when u wake up in ur dream, inside the kitchen sink. That is a place where u clean what u use everyday. U want to clean ur mistakes, ur wrong choices away, n start over with what u already have a clean plate. U can do it over. Then finally with u flying to NY, that may be that u want to take a huge step to what u want, n it may liberate u. Now as I said before I could be totally wrong but that is how I understood it.....

...so the overall concensus here is of regret and change...

Its good to dream. Mabye he is under a lot of stress and by his mind making this real world it is realiveing his stress, he never said if the real world was better or not so dont asume its worse.
