I'm writing a fan fiction for The Matrix.. does anyone know what kind of weapons and ships the robots use in The Real? I know about the Sentinels and the Runners (from the Animatrix), but what other classes of mech/weapons are out there?
Thanks! :)
I don't know of any, but because they said that most of the action takes place on the surface in M3, I'm guessing there will be lots of them then
Well, don't ask me! :)
But good luck with writing, sounds good to me..
they have those really big machines that look like an egg that was in the animatrix too
Dang it, the Wachowski brothers need to come up with a compendium the way they did for shows like Macross, Yamato, Gundam, etc., so we know what everything is that we see in The Matrix (at least, in The Real).
These things are absolute essentials for hard core trivia heads :D
They also have those power plant gaurdians that we saw when Neo woke up. There were three more types of machines in Matriculated, but I don't know what they are called.

Probably irrelevant. Not in the sense that this isn't worth thinking about, but in the sense that you can't get it wrong.
There are so many machines featured in The Second Revolution, it will be impossible to write a compendium on them. (Just think on the scene called The Million Machine March.) But that's the whole point, the Wachowski brothers don't want us to focus on particular makes and models of machines, especially when telling a fragmented history spanning hundreds of years.
Well I would love to know at least something about the function of those triangular-looking things from Second Renaissance, among other things.
In the two trailers there are images of a massive machine hovering above the ground, looks almost like a command ship, not sure whether it is machine or human
