it is all a primitive film that you watched
and making comments about without any work or knowledge just using your hormone leaded feelings.
no one noticed about the the truman show a fılm on the same basis ...
But just some action and love at the end is enough to turn people on
read some science articles to see
in the end it is a primitive film (has a subject that goes back to hunderds or thousands of years) for still primitive minds
nothing new !
lol was the truman show about a man who could bend rules and fly and kick serious ass. was it a technological thriller?
Reality tv show - world made by Artificial intellegence are not the same thing....
Ofcourse the idea goes back years! you think chrispopher columbus was the only person to doubt the shape of the world?
I'm sorry but i hate people like you who try to make references to stuff to sound smart without explaining them, and then calling us primitive, and then not explaining. The interlying theme of the matrix is choice, and you have chosen to make an idiot out of yourself by trying to reference "science articles", what science articles, and you really prove your point by saying "hormone leaded feelings". I think you read all the science mags you want, but if you cant conjugade lead correctly, then you wont understand them.

Agree with you PK. It's incredibly "primitive" to dish out statements without a single argument or reference to back them up.
gotta love 'english as a second language' posts....

Yeah Ive seen lots of movies where the world is actually a virtual dream world control by artificial intelligent machines so they can use of for batteries(sarcasm alert). In the words of Wayne from Waynes World- " shahaa right and monkeys fly out my butt"
Still a common theme - with wicked effects
respect for the effects but not the creativeness of the plot.
like the dreamworld links to software though

Yeah, thank god the 'english as a third language'-posts (like mine) are a lot better then eh? Not every single one of us likes mollesting the english language you know :D.
I'm just glad your posts don't look like you used babelfish translator :p
Lmao @ Terikan and crahan.
Die babelfish Die ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
There are many movies that have similar if not nearly exactly the same storyline as The Matrix, but does that make it primitive? Rent the movie Dark City if you can.
I think what you mean is that the ideas presented in The Matrix are rather primitive. I aggree to some extent. Humans have always questioned "facts" or "reality", and will probably always continue to do so, but I wouldn't say The Matrix as a whole is primitive.
First post :X
Swedish is my first language so I think my English isn't terribly good, but not awful :D

What do you mean, thats not is what the movie is about, thats not an idea, thats the reality. The ideas presented are fate or choice. The idea of the whole movie is to show that you have to believe in yourself.
But once again way to try and feel smart. But i will try to rent Dark City.

Lol, "choice" is one of like a few hundred ideas presented in the Ms. One of the questions - undeniably (I checked, it is a word) - is "Is there a spoon?" From skeptics to Buddhists to Sartre - it is a definite exploration of the idea of the existence of the spoon.

Your right, choice is more of an underlying theme i guess. There are so many things you can find in the matrix if you look instead of just calling it primitive.

I agree with every word.
I just think you might have misunderstood entRo. I think he means that the ideas are "primitive" - not as in "simplistic", but rather "have existed since mankind began thining".

Precisely what I meant. Sorry, I'm still learning English and I confuse words sometimes. I guess it shows :D
Lol, don't worry - I still can't spell "thinKing".
The Matrix has a better plot then dark city. Its more creative.they are both about reality but thats about where the similarities stop.
Both the Truman Show and The Matrix do have a similar theme in commen, only the artificial existence of the Matrix is computer generated and the artificial existence of Truman Show is a set...or man made if you will.
Of course they go very different directions though in terms of the story :D

Hormone-laden, you mean? I should hope so. I should hope that all feelings are laden with hormones and chemical precursors. Otherwise we're just machines.

Yeah? So we score points in your book by thinking up sci-fi movies that have to do with the nature of reality, is that it? I notice you didn't mention Tron, S1m0ne, Hackers, The Terminator 1 through 3, or The Lawnmower Man either.

Are you comparing the Matrix films to Plato's "The Republic"? What difference does that make? People are still reading that book, too. It's still being taught in schools today. Are you saying we're primitive because we like discussing these subjects using media that wasn't assigned reading? "Hey Pot, this is Kettle. Got some news for you. Are you sitting down? Good..."
