His parents call him back. So the kid runs back only to find....wait for it....Agents! With earpieces!

They then abduct the kid and put him in the Matrix. Where there like an angelic like figure hovering over the kid.

This was the most confusing thing to me in the whole of the animatrix!

Who was that boy? it wasnt zion he was abducted from. And why was the agents able to become his parents.

I'm going to say something really crazy now.

What if all along we had been living in a controlled enviroment. That what we believe is the so called real world. Is also a Matrix. The MIAM theory, but not realted to neo stopping the machines.

This Kid was abducted by agents in the so called real world, then inserted into the Matrix. This would suggest that even machine is in the matrix.

A Matrix is a complex structure with more than one area. I never believed the Miam theory till i saw Animatrix. That kid was in the so called real world. He was abducted by Agents, who are apparently programs!

What if the truth of the matter is....all thats left of humans is there brain. There brain is attached to a machine called the Matrix. And there is no escape. Machines new humans couldnt deal with this - so made them think there was! And that's why there a second matrix. It's probably bulls##t, but I'd love to think theres a real world. But those zion people who are born and bread dont have any holes. As they've never been inside the other matrix.

If you dont qagree with this can you please give me your view on why it was agents that abducted the kid?

The scene you describe confuses me too. I actually don't know what to think.

I think you're reading too much into it. It seems to me to be sort of a way to close the story, not so much like the agents actually kidnapped anyone. The kid in the snow is already plugged into the matrix, and he was just having some kind of nightmare, and that angel thingy is just there to, for lack of better terms, take pity on the child in the matrix that is living the nightmare that is the matrix.

Any other thoughts?

I don't really remember that scene......maybe I'll go rent Animatrix again.....but I do have one question... what does MIAM stand for? and what does it mean?.......I've heard this term alot and I really don't what it means :)

It was just to show that from one minute to the next humans got plugged into the matrix I think. It was all a bit symbolic; an example u might say.

in that scene, it seems that he is in the matrix AND the real world at once. the scene keeps phasing from snow and a house, to destructed real world. so, i dont really understand the scene, i never have. cause it seemed that the snow was an illusion to what was really around him, like he was running through a destructed city, but what he saw was a snow covered house.

Ok before the scene of the little boy, there scene before hand, which looked like a king senitnel or something.

He said to these humans who where very much dressed like agents.

"Hand over your flesh and you will lead a nromal life" it was simier to that

then you see agent style poeple in the real world abduct the kid.

but the key to this is people had a choice and they chose to enter the matrix.

Now neo said in reloaded. The problem is choice. I have a strange feeling agent smith is going to turn out to be that of a human mind! Who was one of the people to hand over his flesh! And Neo is his son. The kid that was abducted and put into the matrix!

by the way. . .the scene was confusing because it showed two things: a destructed city, and a snow-covered house.

like i said, it wasnt just the real world. it seemed that the snow covered house was an illusion to what was really around the kid: the destructed real world.

it was like it was trying to show the innocense of the kid and maybe a child like that wouldn't be unable to understand at that age. the true difference from a real world and a simulated world!

well...MIAM...the very thought of it makes me think about the cover of memento (with joe pantolliani and carria ann moss) where the picture shows guy pierce with a photo that also shows a photo that also shows a photo..............etc........u said that about the zion people not having any plugs because they are not in the other matrix right? i get what you mean...just as neo didnt have plugs in the first matrix....

but...the scene with the little boy running in the snow made me think elsehow...i think that that scene represent an insight to the boys life in the matrix and that the agents become their parents BECAUSE they are in the matrix, just as smith can turn into a police guy...i think that that little boy is the first one to gain awareness of the existence of the matrix which means he is the ONE in the prophecy morpheus believes in...he is the firs ONE

My belief is that the boy is Michael Karl Popper, from the Kid's story. The boy has brown-hair and brown eyes, the vision shows that the boy is an adolescent (it pans out to show he is plugged into the matrix, but now older), this immediately precedes "Kid's Story," and Michael Karl Popper is a brown-haired and brown-eyed adolescent. I believe that the Oracle is talking of this child (in ETM) when she proclaims that this child of two programs is very important and will change our world and your world forever.

dosnt popper have the ability to unplug from the matrix?

Yes. And perhaps his ability to self-substantiate was due to his knowledge all along that things were not as they seemed.
