Think to when the Nebuchadnezzar was docking into Zion and the pilot was talking to a woman in a white room tapping on a hologram-like screen. The next scene after she says the welcome home and beds are made, the camera pans across the control room and shows five or six people in blue uniforms (one of them being the woman talking to the pilot, I presume) sitting in dentist's chairs. Watch it again and you will see. Could someone please explain why they are there? Why the woman seems to be in some form of a matrix? Is it "the" Matrix or is it Zion's own Matrix...kind of like the last movie of Anamatrix where the crew created their own Matrix to train the robots? Let me know.
It's just a small construct type environment they use to guide the ships back to the docking bays. I don't think they'd be connected to the matrix in Zion though. Think of it as sitting in front of a computer screen and reading the data, and putting on a VR helmet and interacting in 3D. The latter allows for a much wider range of options and a lot more ease of use.

Although it does pose the question, can only people saved from the matrix work in Zion control?ie: because they have holes, and Zion born people don't.

There's a scene in which all who are in Zion Control are sitting in
chairs, plugged in. You have to watch for it because it's a
relatively short scene, but each person plugged in is the same as
those running Zion Control.

I have thought about this question for some time now and I still haven't come up with a decent answer. This scene could confirm the MIAM theory but it also could be some sort of construct-program. I don't really like the Wbros for putting in this shot because it makes me think to much.

Please if I hear MIAM one more time I'm going to pop! It is unreal and too complex to be able to put into an understandable movie! What stops me from saying there is a MIAMIAM or a MIAMIAMIAM? Nothing: It would mean an infinite amount of Matrixes, with no purpose. For what purpose would it serve to have a matrix within a matrix? and we all know that without purpose we would not be here!
