Question about MIAM theory

Lets say that Matrix in a Matrix theory is truth. Than:

1. Matrix is a program and Zion is another program? They are independent? Program for Zion can run even if the program for Matrix stops?

or

2. Program for Matrix is a part of a program for Zion. It comes from the layer structure of the MIAM theory.

or

3. There is only one program for both Matrix and Zion.

Don't let the word "matrix" confuse you. The "Matrix" that
Morpheus refers to is the 1990's virtual world. The other matrix,
Zion, doesn't necessarily mean it's not real. The architect tells
Neo they have destroyed Zion 5 other times. This is all you need
to conclude that Zion is another form of control - thus
people call it Matrix within a Matrix, although I don't think that's
the right phrase anymore.

Perhaps "Matrix Inside a Death Row Prison" might be more fitting.

I dont think I am confused. There are theories that Zion /real world/ is just anothar virtual reality, that is the reason why Neo was able to stop sentinels, see the fall of Trinity and so on.
