He stopped them on some type of battlefield ground where Earth used to be, but since Zion is in the deep of the Earth core, where they practically get their heat from Lava, are you saying this is apart of the Matrix?
The only thing(I recalled) that no one has mentioned to absolutely support the MIAM theorgy, is when the ships board into Zion that heavenly-like computer programming room that docks the ship, looks like the same atmosphere the Arch was in...
i think the Arch's room had a more greenish tint. But anyway zion control was sweet lookin.
Well, if you watch the scene after the one where Neo saves Trinity,..... after he explains that the whole prophecy was a lie to Morpheus,.... Neo told them that there were some kind of bomb coming towards the Nebuchadnezzar [Morpheus's ship], they all ran out and after watching The Neb burn they run on the sewers floor. Not long after they started, a group of Sentinels is catching up on them, Neo stop his run and say to Trinity that he sense [usually occurs in the matrix only] something different. After that, he stopped the sentinels that were coming onto them with his bare hands. The sentinel just emitted some sparks and wither like flies onto the ground while Neo lapses into a comma..........
How's that?
I just think by Neo making a choice to follow his love interest in Trinity, that his power actually crashed the Matrix designed program for the ONE, and now he is able to control or alter everything that is designed within the Matrix, no matter if HE is plugged in or not.
im not exactly sure about he sentinals scene i think the answer will most likely be answered in revolutions
lol first of all, Zion's control room was some sort of standalone matrix, it was a program aswell. I dont see how that supports the MIAM theory.

It seemed that it was a virtual area where they opened the gates to Zion, but when you actually get into Zion, its a bunch of old industrial machinery. This is the only reason that I might think that the Matrix actually has control over Zion, but I don't think the Matrix is the same as Zion.
