I don't think they actually are brother and sister, it's just part of the relationship they have. They're obvjously very close, seemingly like a brother sister relationship. Perhaps they've been through a lot together that we don't know about...

And remember, Ghost is in love with her (or at least that's the way its seems to me from what the Oracle says to him), and i don't really think that he'd be going after his own sis!

HI there. If you watch all the moives then you will see that in the garden they do say " sister" and " brother". And then when they got to see the oracle ghost says that he loves someone as they love another so that has to be trinity. I think that he is happy to be a brother to her rather then just a friend.

I remember reading this guide in gamefaqs whose writer wrote that the term "brother" and "sister" could have just meant that they were freed from the matrix at the same time-I dunno how he arrived at that but its worth considering

I am pretty sure they are speaking in more of a fraternal relationship. They are both fighting hard for the same thing and it has brought the whole community together almost to the point of having a "Brother and Sister" relationship.

But it would be an interesting twist :p!

I believe them to be spiritual brother and sister, however the cutscenes to not exclude the possiblity of Ghost being in love with Niobi, which is an option, Hwever I must add that I am not in possesion of the guide, so perhaps it is added in there...

No, that means Niobe, not Trinity. As the few people here who are correct have said, Trinity and Ghost were released from the Matrix on the same day and thus refer to each other as brother and sister. They also call each other brother and sister because they are very close, and this is mainly because of reason number 1. This is the truth, people. Plus, the guide books are NOT 'cheat books'. Ghost and Trinity are NOT brother and sister. My basis is all human interaction I have experienced thus far in my life. The way that Trinity looks at Ghost, and the way that Ghost looks at Trinity, is the way that a female and male look at one another when the male is smitten with the female, but the female does not have the same feelings in return (this is why Trinity asks Ghost when they are going to find a woman for him - she feels uncomfortable even though she thinks he is a good guy).

first of all, nobody is really related in the real world (for the most part) remember that in the first matrix, morpheus said 'human beings are no longer born... they are grown'. So the brother/sister thing is just the relationship between them... I mean don't you or people you know have friends who are like 'brothers/sisters to u'?
